I do not think that is it, I think his parents was Human x Demon. So he is probably a half, There might be more to it, depending on demon he could receive a immense boost(perhaps he is a king/prince of the demons ~ or related to).

 

I think he received a special gift from his human parent also, because they tend to have special powers(at least some) - Perhaps fullcounter is one of that effects? When his demon form takes over, he can't use it.

He's probably just a half breed, born of a human mother and demon father that kind of deal. I just hope the next ark is all about exploring his past.

Meliodas is obviously a Half-Demon.

I think that maybe Melodyas was the lider or captain of the demon clan which disappear. Maybe the demons againts the liders order or in some kind of revolution destroyed Danafor Kingdom 16 years ago and is why he says he tryied to save them but he couldn't. Also the reason why he carries always the broke sword is cause it can revive the demon clan, which I suspect that Melodyas destroyed, and with the last chapter (92) we know that Melodyas posibly is inmortal

Man I was really hoping we'd see melodias' true form this week instead of Elizabeth awakening.

I'm curious what kind of demon he's mixed with, but considering they haven't revealed his true form I feel like it would be stronger then the grey demon that overtook Hendrick.
