Spoilers might follow, so read the manga first, if you haven't - I promise it'll be good?

So I was expecting this to be some lame, kitschy, poorly-written gag manga with mediocre art and bland characters, but somewhere along the way I actually started to get attached to the characters and found that the plot device and characters weren't really exasperating at all. Uika has such a heart of gold it's impossible to dislike her, even though she seems at first glance like such a clueless and oblivious heroine. And Anzam also turned out to have a really decent side to him and a background that you can empathize with; whether he was a demon or a fallen angel, he couldn't find acceptance anywhere until he met Uika, and the same was true for Uika. I was surprised at myself, but I started to get really emotional when they got "divorced." Ultimately, I'd say that this manga seems more shoujo than shounen (complete with their last reunion mirroring their first meeting), but I enjoyed it nonetheless - Uika was just too cute, and I was fairly satisfied with the ending. Do recommend.

It was better than I thought it was going to be as well,  I enjoyed it.    Really sweet and I grew to really like both characters too.   I agree it seems more shoujo than shounen.
