The oracle god guy did say that the flowers pollen was the cause of the petrification disease (or in this case, it would be poisoning) instead of the cure.

But let's consider-

The flower grows far away in the god realm, another dimension from hell, so how could so many people have gotten the poison if its source is so far away and most of them never leave hell? Some god sneaking in completely unnoticed and 'pollinating' people for a extended period of time?

The gods are not being petrified, despite it growing and blooming all around them in abundance. Racial immunity? Pollen needs to be processed and combined with other things?

The younger brother did not petrify, even though he was handling these flowers. Or is it considerably time delayed? You figure it would be much quicker on him, considering all the flowers he handled. He did say something about needing to do something before becoming a rock. Could he just be assuming he will eventually show symptoms? Or unmentioned symptoms have shown? Or him figuring that catching the disease was inevitable being down in hell?

If the oracle guy really wanted to kill the brothers, why not just pollinate them like the rest and not bother with the elaborate trap? Older brother did visit and meet with the gods, but even if not that, if they can go around and pollinate who ever they want in hell without being noticed (if that is the case)  Perhaps actual death at the hands of a god would be a more effective message? Pollen was felt to kill too slowly? But then did he mean for the younger brother to escape so that he could give that message? Though then again, why not just go to hell and kill him directly with witnesses all around, since they can presumably come and go to pollinate people, then coming to kill them directly should be just as easy.

Or that oracle god guy was lying about the flowers pollen being the cause of the disease, perhaps even is the cure. Though this seems unlikely to be the case from a out of story perspective, because its usually the case that people who give information in a gloating manner like that, are telling the truth then, in many comics anyway. But short of that, I think it makes the most sense for him to be lying.

i cant answer many of your questions without major spoilers,

so i will give you some "vague" answers with as little spoiler as possible, if u want to continue reading they are as follows:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The oracle god guy did say that the flowers pollen was the cause of the petrification disease (or in this case, it would be poisoning) instead of the cure.

But let's consider-

The flower grows far away in the god realm, another dimension from hell, so how could so many people have gotten the poison if its source is so far away and most of them never leave hell? Some god sneaking in completely unnoticed and 'pollinating' people for a extended period of time?

Shen Yen (Sage Hall Elder) has something to do with it, as to how, NiTian ErXing will try to find the answer to that question, he will mention it in a dialogue in chapter 17 of S2, and rest will unfold much later this season.

The gods are not being petrified, despite it growing and blooming all around them in abundance. Racial immunity? Pollen needs to be processed and combined with other things?

It is indeed racial specific, more on the pollen and its racial effects will come to light in chapter 17 as well.

Next chapter will have the answers to these.

Shen Yen (Sage Hall Great Elder) did not represent the Gods authority, if you have read the past chapters it was specificly mentioned that only those chosen Great Gods of the six affliations were given the rights to govern the gods affairs, hence it was impossible for Shen Yen to kill the brother while they were meeting with the gods without violate the very own laws he was tasked to uphold,  Most likely the meeting was with some other God and they would have noticed if Shen Yen tried anything then. Therefore it was very likely that the Gods' plan for the Dark ones were completely different than that of Shen Yen, and they did not want to or didn't feel the need to kill the big brother.

Shen Yen on the other hand had unique Seer's vision that allowed him to see part of the future, which was the reason he tried to kill the big brother as he would become a great threat to him in the future, note, i said specifically to "Him", not to the Gods, his agenda is that of his own.

So with that said, the spreading of the pollen was most likely the action of Shen Yen alone, and it would possibly greatly affect his position in the Gods' politic if such actions were to be exposed,

As to how effectively he can spread those pollens without being caught by either the Gods or the Dark Ones, it was most likely - not so effective, atleast not to the point he could just choose whoever gets sick or not, only that many of them would eventually catch the disease and takes a long time to die.

If you read chapter 15 closely, he clearly didn't intend for the younger brother to escape.

Anyway it doesn't seem like you have fully understood many of the conversation between Shen Yen and Xin Yue Kui (high priestess) or Shen Yen's own thoughts process in chapters 6-10 of Season II?, which explained many of gods political structures through their mutual distrust and plots.

Huh..I thought something different...medically speaking,in many cases, the source of the illness is also the source of the cure,or at least what gives enough information for a cure to be created.

Ignorance is a bliss...until you actually understand how many people ,including sometimes yourself, this ignorance destroyed. But,I guess that, when you understant that, you wont be ignorant anymore.

He who does not understand his mistakes, does not learn. He who does not learn, does not grow.He who does not grow,is already dead.

Moderation is the key to virtue.

Everyone claims that he learns from his mistakes, and yet, very few people do.Ah,pride,is it that you are so well hidden from a man's eyes?
