Hello,

I have not found a word about this subject on this forum so I decided to start a new topic.

KCC-Windows.png

I'm co-author of Kindle Comic Converter a tool created to convert manga to MOBI/EPUB format.

As the name suggests it mainly supports Kindle devices but hypothetically it also can be used on other devices.

This program is fully automatic. It not only pack image files (PNG, JPEG, GIF, CBR, CBZ, CB7) to one MOBI/EPUB file but also process images so they look better on target device.

All created MOBI files support Virtual Panel View - Fast, high quality zoom. But personally (I'm owner of Kindle Keyboard) I don't use zoom very often - images are so sharp :-)

But enough words... You own Kindle? Check our sample files. They speak for themselves :-)

We don't officially support non-Kindle devices but as KCC can produce EPUB files owners of any e-reader can try to use it.

I would love to get feedback from this group of users as we collecting this type of information on our wiki page.

Any questions, problems or feedback? Fell free to contact me here or on Batoto IRC channel.

Yay, a link to my instructions :P

Sorry I can't help you with any other e-readers. I'm poor :(

I have a lot of family/friends with e-readers, but none of them trust me enough to put a book on there >.<

My words are my own, and do not represent Batoto in any way, shape, or form unless otherwise stated in the post itself ^.^

I'll try testing it out on a tablet and aldiko reader. I don't like using comicrack.

UPDATE: It'll work on any generic android device with aldiko as long as you know your screen resolution and you set margins to 0.

Thanks to acidweb for this. :D

Version 3.2 is out!
  • Too big EPUB files are now splitted before conversion to MOBI
  • Added experimental parser of manga webtoons
  • Improved error handling
Yep. You read it correctly. KCC now can parse webtoons like Noblesse or Tower of God.
It will automatically semi-intelligently split horizontal strips to size of target device. It is still somewhat experimental but it works quite well.

Calibre don't do ANYTHING. It just slap image files in generic MOBI container.

KCC clean, process and improve images for E-Ink displays. And pack them in proper comic type MOBI files.
