There are always two sides to any argument..........and only one side is being shown here. I've personally reserved any judgement as far as "right or wrong" because of just that.
On the surface, from just one sides perspective, this really doesn't make sense (to me at least)...................don't get me wrong, I know EGS has been extremely confrontational with and about anything to do with mangacow and the now defunct mangapirate.........but hey, this right here seems pretty beyond that. Again, we're just seeing one side of the argument.

With your description on how you were banned, it seems like you were auto-banned by some sort of automated system. It seems like it anyway, considering how weird it is to get insta-banned for even mentioning another site. Regardless of the way it was stated, it seems more like a cause for a warning than a ban. Furthermore, getting permabanned for trying to argue your case seems a little ridiculous.
However, they are within their rights. What a lot of people don't understand about forums is that even if there is some sort of rulebook, a forum is a dictatorship. Yes, the community is important, but the community doesn't own the forum, the owner owns the forum the way a CEO owns a company. As long as (s)he's the sole proprietor than (s)he can ban, warn, flame and post whatever and whoever (s)he wants. There are no "rights". That being said, a shitty administration is a shitty administration even if there's nothing you can do about it.

First off, what basis do you have to call me a troll? I suggest you review your definitions here because I'm far from what you claim I am. Secondly, vaguely remarking "everything is moot" does not define what you disagree with so you're talking to a wall here. You also make a very fallacious mistake by assuming I was warned when I've shown the evidence for why I was banned and no mention of any warning is included. If you're so paranoid as to falsely accuse someone of things you have no proof for, then I suggest you do the research yourself and find some evidence before you make such accusations.
I made it quite clear that I posted this for a laugh. Would you care if someone banned a random account with less than 10 posts that can instantly be remade? Don't shoot the messenger.
(Small Edit: In reply to ppl who say it was an auto-ban, it wasn't. I spoke with claire or whatever her name was (the head of the site) and she basically said "don't advertise!" lol)

But seriously, it's a bit like MangaFox censoring the word "Batoto" in all forum posts and messages...
I hope I never get so edgy about competition that I have to resort to banning people in order to get them to stop talking about other people who do the same thing as me. Be it when I'm working, or when I'm online. That kind of personality is just too disagreeable for me.
And even if it were automated, which I doubt it was, judging from the badly punctuated message, it still shows a lack of character from the EGS webmaster/programmer/resident geekling, at least.

Also, "CLAUDIA!" Yes, that was the name of the person I spoke with. I hardly remember anyone from that site since the forums are dead and the only reason people visit it is to snag some easy reading.
Hell, most of their scans end up on Batoto where I read it 99.9% of the time anyways.

They don't ban them, they just censor the word. The word "Batoto" literally becomes "******". It's the stupidest thing I've ever seen.
If Batoto became like that as well, I'd honestly just stop using online readers. Batoto's like my last hope, even though there are a lot of flaws.
I've only been to the EGS website once, but it sure does look bloody flamboyant. I guess that's why they need such a tight grip on who says what, especially with hundreds, or even thousands, of people visiting it daily.

Yeah, very true, the warnings I took on MF were actually for leaving links to scanlator sites that had manga readers on them, not to batoto (yeah, you can't even leave a link for batoto on the forum there).

Dealing with them first hand when i was a part of webtoonlive staff, EGS is very childish/spiteful.

Sorry for the huge delay in replying here but I've had work like mad lately. Anyways, I figured I'd come back to this and clear some things up as a final farewell to this conversation since it's dragged on longer than intended and was only meant to be a joke thread in the first place. First off, I've provided evidence so I don't see how this is so one sided as some are claiming. If anyone cared you could ask EGS but I doubt they would be accommodating to your questions about any possible corruption. (AKA: They don't give a shit.) They seemed to take extra care to delete any evidence on their side besides the screenshot I managed to nab of their "reasoning" behind banning me. If you want, I could supply the emails whatsername sent me explaining that I was banned for advertising which obviously contradicts the original ban notice. Apparently to EGS I'm a maniacal spy from never never land sent to steal all their fans from their dead forums. In reality I was a genuine fan questioning the reasoning behind other sites stealing their hard work. (It was a rhetorical question in the first place.)
Here is all the evidence I have:
*I ask why Mangapirate steals their work (deleted), admin says merely mentioning that will result in a perma ban & temp bans me.
*I question why they banned be through their contact section (deleted) & Now I'm apparently advertising. Back peddle?
As I said, I tried to refute this by asking them to review my original post but they deleted it before I could capture a screenshot and refused to even discuss the matter thereafter. I'm not really in the habit of having to collect screenshot evidence for every single post I make so this is all I got. The refusal on their part to even discuss the issue is a tell tale sign that they fucked up and are too immature to admit any wrongdoing. Think about it, if I was advertising do you think I'd give a fuck about a random account with 10 posts being banned? No. It's the principle of the matter and how hilarious their denial is. I change my IP's like a hat and still browse their site freely and read every new release so no hard feelings here in the slightest; especially considering you don't even need an account to read their scans.
There is no doubt that EGscans are top quality and I enjoy their work, but god damn that Claudia bitch & Co. at EGscans are so dumb a teacup could fit their collective skull diameter like a sombrero.
