Hope won't make money himself killing people with his gun, and won't spend counterfeit money off the press. But has no problem spending another persons counterfeit(remember, most all of that counterfeit money was going for duels, which means most all duel prize money is counterfeit) blood money. Not much of a standard. Or when he refuses to kill the guys chasing them and complains afterwards that he was tortured more because of their deaths, but I didn't see him tell beat at the time, "don't kill them" or anything.

And there is a simple solution for hope to satisfy beats extremely absurd "pride"and duel him, just have a mutual agreement before hand to only shoot the hands/weapons, no death then.
