Sheer fucking awesomeness. Haven't seen it yet due to the bullshit release date here, but hopefully a torrent comes out soon

There's a lack of good fantasy lately, and Game of Thrones S3 won't be out for another what? 3 months?
The Hobbit however, looks promising Very much looking forward to seeing it, and more about the dwarfs, we've only had Gimly in LotR.

^Gimli* (son of Gloin)
Apparentnly not all the dwarves get decent screentime :/ i hope this will be rectified in the other two movies, but hey, tolkien was pretty slack about the dwarves too, but I think the Jackson crew did a really good job with the costumes

A let down in my opinion compared to my expectations of the lord of the rings standard, but still, epic music as usual.
I am god.

About the hobbit: very light-hearted~ compared to LoTR, well its a journey anyway
The pace is so slow, like a slug, making it into 3 movies doesnt seem so good imo.
48fps makes the movie look like a TV show, which appears cheap.
Dwarves' jokes are like British jokes, which are hilariously boring.
Gollum however did save the film, the riddle game is thrilling.
The graphic, especially the scenery is amazing.
Music is great.

All things truly wicked start from innocence.

i like the hobbit but something was missing. I agree it was quite light hearted compared to Lord of The Rings. True Gollum was awesome, it was cool to see some familiar characters and characters we heard mention by characters in Lord of the Rings.
