I see your points and agree influence is frustratingly vanishing in the region. Russia needs to be shown there will be no tolerance of the actions they have taken this will not be a new Poland of 1939. old politics have failed yet we are trying them again. I worry we may be seeing a situation like that of the treaty trap that started The Great War of 1914 it has been 100 years but we face a problem of treaties being tested once again

I have yet to hear of any treaties being brought into play as of right now, but Russia is certainly flaunting Ukrainian rights by their actions as of now. It would be nice to see the whole situation resolved by a non-involvement agreement from all external countries, but that isn't at all likely in the world today.
