So there's this guy, right? His name's, like, Masato or something. He's got bags the size of suitcases under his eyes. He wakes up one day to find that cloud/sheep things have gone and kidnapped everybody. He also meets this boy/girl/sheep named Dori that's all sunshine and rainbows and stuff. They go around looking for people that haven't been taken by the sheep, with Masato beating sheep along the way with the power of beauty-sleep or something because of a promise he made to his dying mother. How's that for weird?

This MC probably one of my favourite even though he's emo as shit, but sadly the manga itself only got 4 volumes mmm...

... So, The Matrix, but with sheep?

Wow. Really well written.

Too bad MU has this listed as completed at 4 volumes.

You know, I'm almost hoping for a new description every new update. That's all I want really.

lol anyone can update this?

The theme of dreams, sheep and fucked up situation reminds me of the game Catherine though

I love how the MC's personality didn't get affected even after all this crazy shit happening mmm...

The MC already changed his personality in the past to zealously follow his mother's last words. It will take a whole lot more (or some really traumatic event) for his personality to be affected again, especially since his current personality allows him to cope just fine.

Interesting manga.

Thanks for the translation and all the work.

That sheep door made me think of the classic Covenant dropships. In fact, that thing probably has more of those sheep in it.

I'd like to believe this whole manga is an aftermath to this xkcd comic

Does. That. Mean. Something. Like. This. Is. Possible. Later. On?

Just because the source material has it a certain way doesn't mean it carries into English very well. While accurate translations are important, the translations should still be comfortable reading in the target language.

Perhaps the author has something in mind for it, but I doubt it. If there is something that comes out of it, you have my permission to call me out on it.

In my opinion, the best scripts come about when the Translator and the Proofreader work closely together.  The Translator is responsible for making sure that the author's original meaning is transferred to another language, and the proofreader is responsible for coming up with alternate English phrasing that will not only carry that original meaning, but also be entertaining to read in the target language.  So a collaboration between the two team members is necessary to come up with the best script possible, even when certain cultural differences are damn near impossible to transfer from one language to another.

To be honest, I thought it was a giant underwear at first.

It feels like Dori is the cause of all this mess considering that she's a humanoid sheep.

I was thinking maybe she is a queen or something.

Man... the combination of these weird ball is really likeable mmm...
Thanks Jaimini's Box for continuing the scanlation of this series mmm...

Yaaay, more Dori!

Also, I'm pro-"sheep", as I see no reason to have a loss of information and as a dirty leech who doesn't pay or donate jack-shit I feel like I have the duty to at the very least meet the translators half-way. I might not be their first priority and I don't have the right to claim to be of any priority to them, while they bring me Japanese culture in a way that I can enjoy/understand.

Also, trying to keep the translation as close to the original as possible, while maintaining as much information as possible helps more "literate" people who can't translate Japanese to work with it or translate it into other languages. I don't see any reason to complain about the translation keeping more information, especially if it can't be properly translated or has crap-tons of cultural baggage strapped to its ankle.

Well... you can always make and post your own scanlations^^

Following your argument, whenever someone is using a dialect or something similar... the scanlator should just ignore what the author writes and use normal english. Or get rid of accents, quirks (like "de-aru") and other stuff that doesn't have a direct equivalent in english.

because it is emphasized in the source text every time.

I don't understand why the scanlators insist on having the word "sheep" in quotations every single time they use the word, but I'm willing to let it slide. Everything else is interesting enough to warrant a follow.
