You are right - I went back and checked the raw and it just says 'uzura (quail) negimaki (wrapped in leek)', not quail eggs. I will have that corrected and upload a v2 of the chapter when I get a chance! Thanks for the feedback shingen.

Is there a 'mistranslation' in Ch 10? The text says "quail eggs" but what I see are "quail legs"...
Ken is like the 5 star chef in a world where there's only 2 star for the longest time. WHO wouldn't want him? Food have been the number one cause of conflict, also as a mean of diplomacy (at least in the east). I think Ken will be "on loan" to the shogun while Oda readies for his next conquest. And when the shogun, who's addicted to Ken's food, have to return Ken to Oda due to the next war, will offer a troop/support just so Ken can come back quicker to feed him. Wild guess here, but I wouldn't put it pass Oda to have a similar scheme in mind!

Wait, why didn't they see this coming? Someone had to think that was a bad idea - "feed the shogun the best food he's ever had, and expect him to be satisfied with that." No, buddy, he's going to want the chef himself (for a multitude of reasons) and he's going to get what he wants considering hes Nobunaga's...ór, well, everyone's superior.
I think I see where this is going.
