Aw, it's sad but all good things have to end. Reading this was such a pleasure and I looked forward to the weekly updates. I'm glad that it ended with Furuichi shouting haha. I think I'll re-read this sometime.

i wanted the couple to get married or at least going out by the end T_T

anyway I haven't seen the guy on the 3rd panel in a long time haha

Spoiler

We haven't seen 50% of the cast in a long time. He pretty much forgot all about the St. Ishiyama students and MK5. Not to mention Saotome is suddenly gone as well as his ex. Kunieda's grandpa and the school principal guy as well. The old dude that fought Behemoth and even Behemoth himself and Lord En and his followers too. All these people were ignored and forgotten. Author really should have worked on character progression at least or should have just ignored all these people then. They pretty much were used once or twice and then became completely useless. Same with that whole arc with Aiba.

So. Is it May yet?

i want a pet dragon too...

The Manga has been axed due to declining popularity. Thats how most Manga from Weekly Shounne jump end up.

Honestly while some ends could of been tied up, the plot had limited potential left. I have enjoyed the series, and I appreciate it not being dragged through the dirt in an effort to keep it going.

It was a fun ride, but why do I feel like it's rushed? There's still a lot of holes that needs to be filled up.

A great manga comes to an end. It was a joy to read, especially with its plethora of truly awesome characters. Looking forward to the spin-off.

meh, that was a good read

I'm glad that I dropped this manga months ago. Now I'm only a little surprised because it's over sooner than I expected. Have you seen this formula before? Long series + meandering plot + lack of character development = crappy ending. That happen with so many titles before (Hitman Reborn is a recent example). Just think about it, how much progression in character development have you seen through out the entire series? None. After every arc, the characters get new powers, and stronger enemies appear, rinse and repeat. Does baby Beel grow? Any romantic subplot closure? Any real CHANGE in characters? None.

Luckily, I have learn my lesson since Hitman Reborn. In the end, the author will just pull out some random bullshit poor excuse of an ending, leaving tons of loose ends and jump to another series. Meh, not worth my time to read these craps

Come on, this was really rushed at the end and and had some bs but it wasn't nearly as bad as Hitman Reborn -_-; That's probably way up there in my 'great-manga-turned bad' list lol

While the ending arc was incomplete, I felt the author at least tried to stay to the spirit of the manga Beelzebub, which was never much about complex story or character development in the first place XD The story is just generic shounen manga stuff, and the point of this manga for me was just having fun. You know, Oga destroying shit, the comedy and the wtf moments. Having solid plot and chara development would be great, I'm not too annoyed about the way this ended.

my final comment in beelzebub......AIDABU!

@Yukinara;
I like your intake.
One can easily say that these type of manga are never about any serious "plot" developments, including character-developments: "it's all about silly fun once a week!", right?
But the final conclusion of : "No change -> Shitty endings" is indeed something to look at and take into heart since the core of the show just stretches itself until it snaps; which may very well explain why the formula results in such a way. Given no change beyond increments to power levels, it pretty much digs its own hole and "untimely" cancellation from point get-go.

So it really did get Axed... How the fuck? Explains why the last arc felt so rushed....

Lamia...

I NEED HER MOAR, NAW

Furuichi needs to become the MC and take on a harem of Chiaki, Lamia, and Nene. Needs to happen.

What ever happened to that one guy from when they went to hell and Beel grew huge then the guy caught Beel's falling foot and he was all powerful and stuff... loose end, I guess?

That's Athrun, chapter 43 and God knows.. my waiting...for years... It is a fun ride, and I will still collect the tankobon. Thank you, Tamura sensei!

prettyshit ending with unnecessary time skipped which ultimately a sorry excuse for a reunion. well i guess that because  it  got axed but really the plot is going nowhere anyway

I think the spin off stories are about oga journey in the underworld.

I think a few people are misinformed. Its going to be a spin-off, not a sequel so anything that goes to sequel category like advancement of current character stories is iffy. Some might be mentioned and appear at times, but that's just assumption.

Aoi  look really like mother of Kouta, lolz.

And when I saw Beel's sister's name, nico nico douga popped in my head for some reason.

As for myself, I thought of Nico Robin, the devil child
