Hibino still hasn't returned his goddman necklace? WTF. Women.

Mr. Kendama, will Hibino return the Ourobouros in the next volume or so? Or will someone else (Gold Watch) take it from Hibino and cause a shitstorm because of her stupidity? This really bugs me.

You don't really expect me to answer that in the open, even with spoiler tags, do you? I already know the immediate fate of the necklace due to being one and a half volume ahead, but I'm not sure I'd answer you even if you sent me a PM.

If you really want to know, Senmanga has raws for everything. But I'd say that it's worth the wait, this story keeps getting better and better.

Because you're wrong, Demut

Why are almost all the characters in this manga such unlikeable cunts (MCs like Hibino included)?

Hmm so I haven't read this manga and its comment section for a while so my memories of it are quite blurry but my guess for now is

Spoiler

Whatever the conclusion is, really looking forward to the next update.

Damn it Ryuzaki, before going all emo, you could have asked him, "Excuse me Hijiri-san, what time is it"?

No need. The photo with Kirino, which Ryuzaki and Danno have already seen, confirms that he is a member of the Gold Watch Syndicate. The issue is finding out whether he is THE Gold Watch they are looking for.

And obviously, he isn't. He recognises Ikuo for the first time in this chapter, but Gold Watch knows who the Ouroboros are and that they are after his neck, because of the events with Zero. We know that because of the conversation he had with Chouno a few chapters ago. So Gold Watch wouldn't be surprised to be confronted by Ikuo that way.

Curiously enough, Hibino's father was also surprised at the scene, and was last seen deep in thought, which I interpret as evidence that he isn't Gold Watch, either.

The above is based on current knowledge from released chapters. I have translated a volume ahead and thus know a couple more things, but I am yet as much in the dark as you.

The declaration of war has been declared!!

Careful, Ryuzaki, always watch your back.

Sorry, it's part of our fun scanlating. I admit I felt Yothen went a little overboard with the Piccolo notes but I have to be fair and I post even more outrageous notes when I am translating Destroy and Revolution.
We might start using different fonts for personal and explanatory notes so it's easier for readers to choose which ones to ignore.

I personally like those kind of notes tho, tsukkomi-style XD

why does he leave such an important necklace out like that. Even I could break in and get that

To be honest, his laid-back attitude to home security is understandable if we consider the following.

Japan has low criminality overall. Leaving doors unlocked is far from uncommon.

He doesn't live in a normal house or flat, but in an abandoned factory floor. Any potential burglar would either not think of the place as invasion-worthy, or assume it is uninhabited.

Even if a potential burglar did open the door, the moment they saw the place is completely empty (the necklace is too small to be seen from the door and the place is dark), they would be unlikely to venture inside. Just a glance would be enough to tell that there is nothing inside worth the risk of being caught. Besides, burglars follow the habits of their targets and I doubt they would try to break into a cop's home.

The necklace is probably not a jewel, but a trinket without monetary value. Yuiko-sensei was not rich. I doubt a robber would show any interest.

I can kinda picture a random delinquent entering the place out of curiosity, finding the necklace and nicking it casually just because it is beautiful, but it doesn't seem Ikuo leaves the door unlocked often, so I doubt that the kind of opportunity that caused the events in this chapter has happened before.

I realize this is unrelated to the main point of the chapter, but why did Hibino (like many other characters in different manga and in real life) feel like she can just enter someone else's house without their permission when they're not home?  Shouldn't she of all people should understand that it's a crime?

I've heard a lot of stories about  Person A left Person B alone in their room for 5 minutes and B found their porn stash. Or, Person A let person B look at a photo and they started swiping through other pictures(this has happened to me a few times). To me, going through other people's stuff is just disrespectful, no matter how close friends you are/claim to be. It's not that hard to respect someone's privacy.

Sorry for the rant, it's just an enormous pet peeve of mine when people nose through my things, especially when I'm not there(Probably because my valuable possessions tended to go missing when I was younger). I don't do it to others, and I don't want them to do it to me. If they can't manage to keep their hands/eyes to themselves, then they aren't given the opportunity to begin with.

I'm not sure if I'm seeing it correctly but in page 29, did the necklace fell into Hibino's handbag?

Yes.

Hidden gem which need to have more attention. Anyway the manga reached 21v now.

Actually, it's finished at 22 volumes.

Holy shit that last page.... *sheds tears* I can't help it

Just my two cents, but I enjoy the comments. Makes it more enjoyable when the manga gets a little too over the top.

An American, a Brit, and a German walk into a bar...

Absolutely no hate, but if you guys don't mind, would you add your comments to a seperate page at the end instead on the actual chapter? These comments obviously aren't stoping anyone from reading this manga, but it's just weird.

Sigh… if only Kissmanga accepted uploads from the scanlators themselves… it's frustrating to see your chapters DMCA'ed away like this, when your series isn't even licensed in the West.

Okay.... well.... putting aside how

Remember the case of woman rape-murder with the high-class cabaret-club-thingies? Which turns out the true leader of that club is actually just a measly actress? This manga seriously love plot twist like this, where unlikely people actually have immense criminal power.

Ah, good point.

Well, my response was strictly imagining the situation from what you states, so please excuse me. :)

I do think you are right about life-imprisonment being society's way to avoid responsibility.  If they kill a criminal, it's "barbaric" and the do-gooders are unhappy. If they rehabilitate them and let them free then the realists and victims are unhappy. It is important to note that life-imprisonment is done not only to prevent the criminal from roaming free if you don't kill him, but also to increase the security in the minds of the populace. Just "changing their ways" isn't likely to get them released either way, or if it does, it's usually decades later when they aren't as much of a threat.
