As she enacts this plan, the former alien mercenary Yami, aka Golden Darkness, struggles between her former life as a killer and her current life on Earth. Things get complicated when Mea, a girl with powers similar to Yami's, becomes interested in Rito. Just who is this new enemy?

I won't give up. I will never give up. I'll believe till the end of my days that this is getting a direct sequel, just like the original run did.

Imo this just needs a harem ending. I like all the girls.

I actually really liked the ending of ichigo 100%. This was shit ending

...

still a good open ending ...

compared something more totally absurd like Yakitate ending, or such ...

It's easy to explain:
- To Love Ru: Yabuki and Saki announce that they are splitting as a creative duo once Darkness is completed.

I`m curious from where did you find this news? as far as i know they only just taking a break before their new "secret proyect" begins. In fact the image announcing their new proyect shows Yabuki's drawing for the new series

Weak as fuck, Rito didnt even graduate. If you know what i mean.

but he did confess... oh wait, you are right..he already did... SIX YEARS AGO !

Ugh... Another long running manga that doesn't have an actual ending. Didn't really even bother to read the last chapter and skimmed it through in a minute.

But for the Soul Eater discussion... Honestly the manga ending is as bad as this, nothing really changed after they came back from the moon/whatever. And all the chapters towards the end were just plain boring, basically running purely on fumes. Excalibur chapters were the only good chapters.

Honestly when I think about it, my opinion about the Soul Eater ending is similar to the fact that how Indiana Jones was completely irrelevant character in Raiders of Lost Ark.

Welp.

Oh, well.

So... the cop out ending.

Time for Black Cat 2.  Rito can be the cameo that strips the villain before Train, Sven, and Eve/Yami capture them.

This.

I want a sequel for black cat, it's one of my favorite manga.

Maga Tsuki reach vol 12 and it seems still ongoing ?

All I know for certain is:

  • The last chapter I read of Maga Tsuki was chapter 64, and it seemed like they were wrapping things up quickly.
  • Crunchyroll now has chapter 65 up (behind a paywall), and it has to have been in the last few days.
  • Chapter 65 doesn't show up on any English site not behind a paywall.
  • In my quote, I spoiler-tagged a poster's assertion that Maga Tsuki ended in a certain way.
  • In the original posts, it was not spoiler-tagged.

It's actually over... Wow.

Well now I guess the time for a new journey has come. Farewell "Darkness, my old friend." I hope to see once again.

...

bleh ... open ending ...

I hope mangaka will finalize it with 1 tankubon of porn / H version of TLR~D~ ...

Thanks a lot for not spoiler-tagging that, @$$holes.

It's not like anyone was waiting to see the most recent (and apparently last) chapter of Maga Tsuki, or anything.

Sad - the "ending"

Spoiler

Wait, it has ended?

Spoiler

Thanks a lot for not spoiler-tagging that, @$$holes.

(Either of you.) You just spoiled an unrelated manga (Maga Tsuki) on the verge of closure, for no goddamn reason.

I guess expecting a satisfying ending was too much for a harem series.

what a horrible ending

I seriously don't understand Japan sometimes. They can create beautiful stories and last throughout the ages but can't seem to master a good or perfect ending.

It could just be me, but for the following Manga to me had terrible endings. Bleach had a sour ending never got answers to certain things, Naruto kinda ended but didn't. To Love ru Darkness, again terrible ending nothing advanced really it just lasted longer and longer except for the really for last couple chapters. Rito is still kinda a dummy with crazy pervy luck.

Soul Eater ended on a sour note as well, didn't learn about certain things nor experienced anything more and basically the same ending as the Anime but longer, along with the main baddy coming back again.   Nisekoi suffered it too, hoping for at least a surprise ending where he would actually choose some other girl hopefully but then again no, the first girl wins again.

I cry Japan, just make learn how to make a great ending to a manga T)T

Because many of them are serializations that live until their interest drop, sometimes the author break relations with the publisher, etc. The story is written in almost real time, even if there is a planning there is no clear ending. This is specially truth on Jump series.

Wasn´t Bleach ended because the author was getting annoyed with the fans critique? Pretty sure the constant "your chapters are too short", "there´s only 2-3 pages of real action each chapter" and "please let xxx and yyy end up a couple" got on his nerves...i read about this in other forums, so it could be totally wrong, of course.

I understand you comments about Bleach, Naruto and To Love Ru, though SJW manga tend to have crappy endings, another one is Hitman Reborn,, though Naruto is by far the worst...just so they could continue to milk it, and satisfy the rabid Hinata fans.

However Soul Eater ended well, and was nothing like the anime, it wasn't the best but it was far from bad. Nisekoi is one of the best endings for a Harem manga I've read, each girl got their closure, something more manga's don't bother with, The mangaka ended the series with the girl he always planned to end with, and despite all the other girls being obvious content filler they took the time to give them their own mini-arc.

I agree with you about manga endings generally being bad, but Nisekoi and Soul Eater were not the best examples to use and I think they are some of the few exceptions.

interesting news. got any sources for the axing of bleach (or some wsj rankings?) and a source for the plans of yabuki and saki to split?

About Bleach, i don't know where you could find them nowadays: Mangastream had the pages with the rankings but they only keep the last ones and right now i don't know of any that still keep them. Truth to be told i don't know it for sure if it was really axed but it was in 15th to 18th the last months before it ended, and also seeing how it ended makes it a lot more probable.

About the splitting in To Love Ru, someone posted it in this comments some pages before, and there was talk of it.

Alright, I'll see myself out now.

Disgusting

Also, great work Cmertb, thanks for sticking with this series till the "end".

What about Conan then?

Volume 3 (The final volume) is coming April 4th, if the last page is anything to go by.

they announced a 10th anniversary book with ova and lala figure (august 4th iirc). maybe there is some new content too

Honestly my disappointment lies in fact that apart from original to love-ru rito and company didn't really venture into space. Why darkness couldn't end with all of them going to visit lala's homeplanet?

It's easy to explain:
- Bleah got axed.
- Naruto: its WSJ, they want to milk their most famous works till ridiculous heights, just look at what they have doing to poor Dragon Ball in the 5 last years ...Also Naruto went worse and worse in the last years, so that ending was expected.
- To Love Ru: Yabuki and Saki announce that they are splitting as a creative duo once Darkness is completed.
- Soul Eater have a proper and good ending. i don't understand your words, its like you read a different manga.
- Nisekoi: i never read it so don't know.
