Just wondering if anyone knows if Riceball plans to translate any of the raws for this soon? I was browsing and stumbled upon raws for up to ch 18.

My theory on the "purpose" and origin of Accel world

Sword Art Online Light novel and Accel world Light novel spoilers!!

Spoiler

1) Both Accel world and Sword art online are from the same author

2) In Sword art online now we are at the "Alicitation" arc, where a group called Rathr (I hope I spelled that right) from the Japanese government managed to actually decode what the "soul" is, called them "Quantum fluctlights" and created a small world with many cloned/copied "souls" in which time flows at an accelerated rate- 1000x faster

Well, it actually can go up to 5000x, but if someone is inside that world for 1 second in the real world, that means he'd spend 5000 seconds in there, that would be one and a half hour. Also, according to the story there, "souls" only have a limited lifespan, so if they spend 150 years, then they'd start to degenerate due to too much information

The world was quite limited in size and required one hell of a computer to run

3) From the light novel we know that neuro linkers are quantum devices that are all networked together.

4) In SAO Alicitation a character called "Cardinal" appeared who is actually a "true" A.I. and is responsible of maintaining the virtual world

My conclusion:

1) Where is the central computer of the "Accel world"?

Not really existant, the "Accel world" is most likely calculated by ALL neuro- linkers by paralell processing over the network they are linked to

2) Who created it/who is managing it?

Not entirely sure, I am pulled between Government, Kayaba Akihko, Cardinal or perhaps Cardinal with the help of the main characters of SAO (Kirito, Asuna and so on)

(Managing is most likely done by cardinal)

3) Purpose:

Depends on who created it.

If it was the government, then most likely as some kind of social experiment and the like

If it was Kayaba Akihko (that's the explanation that makes most sense) then it'd be for the sake of creating a "real virtual world" (After the Fairy dance arc he uploaded a copy of his consciousness onto the internet so it is not surprising that he would be able to create something like that)

4) Origin (how did it start)

Well, it started by about 100 people who got the brain burst package from an untracable source. 30% of them managed to hit level 2 and got the right to give away 30 copies of brain burst. Everyone else can only give away 1 copy, regardless whether it works or not.

These people, the ones who got the initial copy of brain burst are called "Originators" in Accel world and no, Black lotus is not one of these. Her parent, although she never directly admitted it, is apparently the "white king"

The first chrome disaster wearer, "Chrome Falcon" was also an Originator and he became like that because he got VERY pissed about something that happened and someone important to him lost brain burst and through some coincidence he merged 2 enchanced arnaments- a sword and an armor into one- "The Disaster"

The guys who were responsible on Falcon becoming like that ran off and will be the main villian faction later in the story (Oh, and "Cherry Rook", the chrome disaster they are hunting right now is the fifth and:

Silver crow will be the sixth, he got "infected" by it because a wire the disaster was using had parasitic properties. That is also the reason for the 100% transfer rate

Ash roller is actually a girl called Rin

Why did a girl get a male duel avatar?

Well, maybe it has to do with her trauma and also, in "Gun Gale Online" arc of SAO, Kirito ended up with a girl avatar even though the system is supposed to give him the "right" gender

the protagonist is so gay that i don think it's worthy put the romance genre

I don't think the MC is "gay". He is extremely timid, shy, and self conscious about his appearance because of how he was bullied for so long. If anyone else had to go through that they also wouldn't be able to flip on some "Casanova switch". To be honest if he did become some Don Juan it would feel much to unnatural to me.

Heres something to think on. I beleive that Kuroyukihime is Asuna and Kirito's niece. Asuna's maiden name is yuuki (cause by now shes obviously married to kazuto). So I feel that kuroyukihime is in fact her elder brothers daughter. I mean there's no way in hell that Asuna and Kazuto would not visit their daughter whens hses in the hospital. Also I beleive her real name might be something like Yuuki Kurohime.

@manga09 because the technology used for underworld is the base technology for the neurolinker(I think) and Accel World is set 20 years after SAO(I forgot the source)

Kotelo, obesity is unhealthy and should never be encouraged. That being said, I like that he's fat. It offers greater contrast to the ideal image of a hero. It feels like a cocoon. I hope he grows to shed it and emerge healthy in many ways.
