I like the idea of Tian having used all of those events to test Ah Gou worthiness in order to build the next stage of life

There's a few ways they could be saved. Remember that death isn't necessarily final in this series, and that the Dark Ones in particular seem to have powers over the underworld. Additionally, perhaps there's a way to revive the Dark Ones who were turned to stone (which would be ironic, in that the attempt to genocide them with that disease would have ultimately saved them.)
Alternatively, the surviving Dark One males could just take human (or divine) wives.
The idea of Ah Gou having a stand is too cool for me.
Looks like the end is near. T_T
