Clearly you haven't seen the Japanese court systems. You know how in Ace Attorney every defendant is guilty until proven innocent? It's basically like that there.

The thing is that in Japland the prosecution usually only even goes to trial if they are dead sure they can win. Even more so than this is the case in other countries.

As for the sentence, obviously it is OP but I mean she did straight-up kill people who were not actively harming her (e.g. the girls). Obviously all of them acted immorally but setting her up like that does not necessarily excuse murder, especially if they pose no threat. While harm in self-defense is often accepted legally, retributive violence is not.

Well it is self defense but it's too brutal to be called self defense so it falls on murder i think? either way the "director said that it would be murder and either way i just wanted to see those poor bastard die and they die. im contented with that

We care about the series getting visibility in the West. We like the feeling of accomplishment that comes with scanlating a chapter. We even appreciate your discussing it.

But we don't specifically care about you as individuals. Sure, you are free to criticise our stuff however you want. This chapter made it to release with quite a few typos and grammar mistakes, by the way.

But don't expect to ge given any say on how we go about our hobby, which choices we make and which quirks we indulge. In all that pertains scanlation, you leechers only figure as a recruiting ground for staff... and anyone who bothers to apply to any scanlation group normally already knows its habits and is okay with them.

Mangaka just wanted to get the MC into prison and needed an excuse that didn't make her look too bad, hence she killed some rapists and their terrible accomplices. It's lazy not a commentary on the Japanese justice system.

Nope, he can't. It gives flavour to his hobby. At Death Toll, some of us love notes and as many scanlators, we are the ones we want to please, not you leechers.

I suppose there is some factor, in relation with the first few pages and these "contagious emotions", that made her act. Maybe she watched a movie about rape and murder and her body re-enacted it. Or something.

 

Anyway, I have a hunch that this prison island is just a disguised research facility about the Medusa Syndrom and that she got sentenced, and asked not to appeal, so she can be monitored there. Because if you can control it, you can have super soldiers, am I right?

 

I can sense a lot of gratuitous nudity, violence and ludicrous chain of events coming.

not to get too "real talk," but you can already see this in relatively recent events. for example, that steubenville high school rape incident in 2012. sometimes people refuse to accept what kind of scummy things their family/friends do

You forgot to indicate the volume, but we're probably going to scanlate this more or less in sync with Japan so I don't think volume numbers will ever become relevant. (And it would be all guesswork anyway.)
