Also to avoid suspicions they won't place a ton of money for something so small. i.e. "If something so small cost that much they must be something super important therefore I won't sell it and use it myself"

Yes, at first she just want to confirm what kind of person is zenjiro, so they can make strategy accuratelly based on his personality. But then she got very lucky after the queen bring the marble and let her take one. Since apparantly they can make a weapon from that. She completedly wins.
