Eh it was really good when I first ran into it via Mushoku Tensei, but now it's kind of being overdone. The problem with a lot of tensei stories is they aren't really well developed. In MT Rudeus's character from his past life really affects his new one. You can see that in the way he interacts with others and his thought processes. His is a journey of personal mental growth as well as advancing in the new world he finds himself in. While a lot of tensei stories just have the guy go HERP DERP I'ma become OP and grab a harem.
