Description: Nakamura Kouta is a freshman in high school who dislikes girls. One day he is visited by his childhood friend Karen, with whom he lost contact over time. Karen is a tomboyish girl, who refers to herself as “Boku” (a first person pronoun usually used by males). She asks him to help her become more feminine to win the affection of Itsuki-san, a colleague at her part time job. Even though he is reluctant at first, he more or less voluntarily agrees to help her out in the end. But making a lady out of the clumsy Karen with nothing but his extensive galge experience as reference proves more difficult than he could imagine.

you know. i think it would be nice if this whole story is really just the guy trying to help the girl get with a guy she like and the mc and heroine don't fall in love or get together at all. it would be a nice change from all those other manga with a guy helping the girl get with another guy but they instead fall for each other. break away from cliche. let the guy feel no romantic attachment at all for the girl and the girl for the guy.

 the little sister is awesome

What if this whole crush on Itsuki is actually just to make Kouta jealous or aware of his own feelings - I could imagine the little sister devising such a plan - I mean, Karen seems unsure of how Kouta actually thinks of her, so it may have been pretext to spend time together with him again.

Gonna flip my shit when it happens

ntr? is this ntr series?

are you retarded

YES~~~~~~~ OTP ROUTE!

ok so they went OTP route...ok....

ntr? is this ntr series?

Quit it. If you're gonna think of NTR all the time then become a monk.

Just as simple as that and it goes for everyone.

Well, consider the facts:

Spoiler

...this situation would technically be netori. Which many people consider the good/tolerable ntr.

Well, the main point of Netorare is the rage-induced boner feeling.

Netori is closer to forced games, just that now the woman have someone else she likes (at the start anyway...*evil laugh*)

I'd say this is more stupid couple stumbling their way around their true feelings....like a lot of stumbling, before finally realize "oh, he/she is the one I really likes"

Spoiler

Aaaand the bomb has been dropped.

NTR is a porn genre. Stop abusing it to include everything that features a love triangle lol

"Is there even anything I'm better in than he is?.. Ah, yeah, my eyesight." Cracked me up bad. Sometimes Kouta's got a wit drier than the Sahara Desert.

ch9. Something's probably wrong with me, but I feel like reading "childhood friends" stories with big age gaps (like Taiyou no Ie)

This is where the plot begins. Finally ~

oh god...her cooking is a killer.

It might be Himeji level

I've seen simpler ones like

3 slices of bread

1 layer of cheese (those pre-sliced ones)

1-3 slices of ham

a bit of mayonnaise

or heck there's one where it's simply mixing mayonnaise with canned tuna meat (and flavor it up to your desire, I like mine a little sweet) and put that between 2 slices of bread.

And the arguably simplest of them all, just a sunny egg between 2 breads.

And I thought mine was too complex already (3 pieces of bread stacked on one another).

oh god...her cooking is a killer.

I haven't actually tried such a simple sandwich. Gonna make that I guess.  It sounds like it would be good.

You think so? There's certainly enough that they named tropes after it. I know I've read quite a number in my time. Eh, my comment was intended to be facetious, in any case. Bladestone's comment could be cold read for quite a number of series. I thought it was funny.

Well, at least translated ones. I know because this setting is one of my pet peeves. What RolfCat said is true, there are probably much more to be found in 70s and 80s manga.

There aren't actually that many series revolving around childhood friend relationships.

True. There are a bunch of series where the childhood friend is one of the harem, or she is often seen losing in a love triangle, but no real childhood friend focused series.

There was quite a lot of them, just that most were before manga became a thing, so they became the cliche (like black hair dual wield hero with a loner attitude who still gets a harem these day)

Spoiler

On this chapter: K Y is Kuuki Yomenai, literally "Can't read the atmosphere"

*Ding-ding-ding*
And the winner of "Comment that Describes the Most Series at Once" goes to Bladestone!
