Sorry but I don't really get why Keys games and their respective anime are listed as top-notch. The feelings are ok but the characters lack a lot for me to feel sad about their fate.
If you want to have touchy moments, play "your Diary"(the best of many VNs I played until now, all characters feel alive and are actually likeable!) or watch "Shinigami no Ballad", one of a few anime that made me shed manly tears :'(

The first half was very very great but the later half is just so underwhelming mmm...
Hmm... I see you already tried Air, you should try the masterpiece of Key (yes the name of developers of Air), Clannad and Clannad After Story mmm...
While Clannad itself is actually quite touching but the main thing is Clannad After Story mmm...
