Hase-kun also runs out to get a birthday present for Kaori in the middle of their party after realizing he didnt give her one during her birthday on the 1st of Dec, or something.

Nothing in particular happens until c32/33? where Hajime's brother appears. Nii-san thinks about stuff and tells Hajime about the events 5-6 years ago when he noticed Kaori as he was hatching a bad prank to scare kaori and have hajime appear like a hero to save her. It was canceled but Kaori heard parts of it, and Hajime thinks it's his fault and confesses to Hase-kun next chapter.

Hase gets his act together, while Kaori realizes the distance between her and Hase, and tries to get back together again. Because Hase got his act together, luckily they managed to close the distance after apologizing stupidly to each other. Moving on, some events (test and all) happens, but point is Kaori chances upon Nii-san, who apologizes to Kaori about 5-6 years ago. It ends up triggering her past and scares her into trembling and stuff. Hajime comes and 'saves' them and the 3 of them goes to an alley.

At this point, Shougo and Saki who were together saw it (and kaori trembling) and they tried to help, while Shougo calls Hase non-stop to get him. Hase senses something is wrong when Shougo calls him non-stop, and runs out of his re-test while picking up the call, and goes to where they all are. Hajime tells his brother to leave for a bit, they'll handle things, and when Hase-kun shows up, he decides to tell Kaori what happened 5-6 years ago. Kaori then remembers everything, and explains what actually caused her memory reset, which was due to her walking away and hearing her 'friends' talk behind her back about how she is underhanded being so close with Hajime-kun (popular as hell) and that they were gonna isolate her. Hearing that, just as she gets into a car accident, she was thinking "why are friends so fleeting, what are friends?" and other philosophical shit, then thinks "if only the events of the past week didn't happen..."

*boom* there goes the reason for her memory lasting only 1 week. and that was c37 end.

Well volume 6 is not much better that this... From now on is all downhill!!!!

Looks a little like the ending in the Anime, were everything will be OK in the end, but until then we need to suffer!

He does meddle a lot and talks his mind, but he's honest so it is not a negative trait. What makes him pushy and loud is the execution of his actions. I guess what I had in mind was a mix of having guts but looking lame at the same time. I know people like that, and while it does get more on the lame side at times, they always had my admiration for their straightforwardness. Perhaps that was what disappointed me a bit on Hase for a couple of chapters. He's no angel and deserves more than one-sided love, though that sting of jealousy was something quite off from what I expected of him. Not that I'm any better though.

Of course, it has nothing to do with real, annoying, pushy and loud people. Luckily this medium seldom portrays them, as they are not always as honest and good natured as him.
