| Description: | Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by giants. Giants are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of giants. Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a giant in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as one of the city walls is damaged by a 60 meter (196.85 feet) giant causing a breach in the wall. As the smaller giants flood the city, the two kids watch in horror the tragic events that follow. Eren vows that he will wipe out every single giant and take revenge for all of mankind. So, errr, why the fuck aren’t English chapters being uploaded here anymore?
Finally decided to look for this because I've been hearing about it and read it straight through. It is quite exciting, could barely stop reading. Got lost with some things, like the walls and cities. So, it's not one big city inside the walls, they are spread out where there are even forests and snowy mountains? It's not some apocalyptic future but a world that is sort of in a medieval era? Their equipment made me think they are at least close to the modern era.
I was confused about the armored titan though. It seems like they have encountered it before but I didn't see it when I read it straight through. Which chapter was it introduced?
The one shot is.. Lame.. Happy that everything went better than expected :N

wow that oneshot...damn at least he knows how to draw straight lines now, kind of impressed he improved on it so quick...I would've been embarrassed to have everybody read my old oneshot where I didn't know how to draw.

Unlike Shueisha who rejected Isayama, you got to commend Kodansha for putting up with this crappy oneshot; otherwise, the series would not have been born.
It took him only 3 years to setup a proper story and learn to draw? Pretty amazing.
It seems "avantegarde" style oneshots are back in fashion..
