In korea you dont have a conventional birthday like in the west, if you were born, for example, on the 6th of July of 2000 you would be 15 years old as of the 1st of January of 2015 and you would only be a year older whenever a new year starts. Or so I've read in other places in the internet. But I think there was a typo in one of the chapters of this series.
