From what I have observed, Ak scans do the manga from alphapolis website. That manga site often do the adaptation for the light novel. They also release the latest chapter for free online. The downside is that the resolution of the images is really small, so if you thought the image quality from the manga is pretty low, that's the reason.
However, this slime manga is from Gekkan Shounen Sirius, and I would say the raws from magazine is hard to get, I believe. But based on the image quality of the raw that I got from jcafe, I would say there is an online source...but I wouldn't say that there will be stable source for the raw, unlike from the online like alphapolis, ganganonline, etc, at least from my knowledge. Yep, so that'd be the most probable reason why Ak scans didn't do this one.
Funny you mention that, since I also thought of translating this if nobody else was going to scanlate it. xD
I also found about this manga several days ago, though the website I get my raw from posted on April.
Also, the first ch of the manga was published on March (May edition of Gekkan Shounen Sirius).
Honestly, I really love the personality of the protagonist. xD
Personally, I'm not really into dark stuff, like what's happening to Re: monster, so this is a REALLY nice change of pace for me, especially how humorous the main character is... and dat tsundere dragon. ( ´艸｀)

And by judging by the earlier chapters, it feels like this is released bi monthly since chapter 1 came out in december.

I believe this manga has been out for more than a week, since it took around a week for us to release it after translating it. I was also the one who added this comic page, so I'm hoping that no one had already started to translate this..
To be honest, we started to translate this light novel a few days before the manga came out and found out by chance that the manga was out when one of my translators was checking if there were any updates for the light novel. We mainly translate web/light novels so we're not exactly a scanlation group that has all those people that separately clean, redraw, and typset, but we figured that we might as well translate the manga too. Props for Falcon92 for helping us do all the dirty work that we can't do!
