Description: Three years ago, a Hero sealed a Hell Gate. The seal has been weakening ever since, sporadically letting monsters through. After a big group of monsters entered the country through that Hell Gate, the profession of Heroes was needed again.

Touka Scott, a small radish farmer in the southern town of Cheza, is prepared for sudden monster attacks. He built himself a hidden bamboo-spiked pit trap to lure unsuspecting monsters in if they ever try to attack the village. When a monster attacks, Touka tries to lure it into the trap with freshly roasted bacon, but the monster dislikes that type of meat. Thankfully, the Hero arrives to save the village from the monster in the nick of time. The hungry Hero tries to grab a bite of the bacon after vanquishing the monster, only to stumble into Touka's pit trap and die.

After causing the Hero's death, a necromancer from the Hero's old party transfers Touka's spirit into the Hero's body and forces him to impersonate the Hero as the Hero's body is the only one that can use the holy sword to seal the Hell Gate.

First Saitama, and now...

Spoiler

Charming manga, making fun of some cliché tropes while indulging in some. The art is kind of iffy, but acceptable. And the MC while being a dick, is kind of hilarious. The lil necromancer is also totally adorable (even with the snort running). The only problem I´ve with this manga is the intolerable childhood friend. She´s the epitome of annoying staple character (abusive tsundere), mainly due to her carbon copy personality. The manga would be much better off without her.

Overall, I like it more than I hate it.

Oh, and in case someone haven´t figured it out:

Anri(The lil necromancer)>---------minor female characters-------------------------------------------------------------------------------slutty useless childhood friend.

To be fair, the MC deserves her(Childhood Friend) abuse

His Skull face is still better than his Hero face. His Hero face is creepy as sin.

a princess has to be cute after all <3

This is getting better with every chapter. Not like 90% of other mangas.

Could someone please save necromancer and village girl, so they restore that scoundrel to his real body, to avoid dirtying hero's name any further.

yes and no..   'Hero' likes fleshy thighs,   Leland likes flesh-LESS thigh bones

Who's to say Leland doesn't like the ultra riajuu hero's bones?

Evil man: "Every bone in your body is magnificent... especially mine."

LMAO!

On the other hand... if this mind is synchronous with what you mean, that does not have bone.

Evil man: "Every bone in your body is magnificent... especially mine."

LMAO!

Well....this is is unique... a 'hero' that lacks the usual hero qualities. But he is resourceful...I'll give him that. All in all, this is a nice take on the usual hero fighting the evil Hollow- I mean demons trope

Sorry Princess, your hero is searching for another woman.

Spoiler

No one in the manga said it so I had to do it.

Dem thighs and that attire

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The hell people want those tights? OK, they are quiet the tights...but seriously come on.

Dem thighs and that attire

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

That new villain guy would surely hit it off with the protagonist if they know off each other fetish....

LMAO! I like how there's BDSM occuring in the basement.

Heh, they're really stupid.
Who in their right mind would follow a stranger that act familiarly on the first time they meet?

Who in their right mind would fall into a pitfall they already know of?

Who in their right mind would trust this manga's main protagonist [male]?

Anyways, one of them is a naive country hick, that thinks anyone that isn't her childhood friend is trustworthy, whilst the other one is a necromancer with less social skills than an ant. On top of that, they are dealing with "fellow demon-hunters", making it fairly reasonable for them to put some trust into them, after all, they have no reason to suspect anyone (apart from some royal soliders [their "hero" might have stirred trouble, after all]) to have any ill-will againts them.

eh so-so i guess.

Needs more pitfalls

...think about that line... remember guy is trying to protect village from demon, but fails and kills guy who saved village. how is killing the hero (good guy) a redeeming trait (unless you are aiming on being evil)?

He can kill a hero that was OP i guess? we don't really know, but you need to broaden your view mate! Killing a hero means he can kill a demon lord now go back to the first chapters and his trap probably would of worked against the demon lord. I mean he just needs the appropriate bait in front of the trap and done, he saved the world, did what the hero couldn't do (he probably could of if he lived but meh), by being a scumbag!

P.S: moral of the story is, being moral is actually one limit that should be broken, because on several occasions, it saved too many lives to be punished. Not always though, I'm saying using "honorless" and "cruel" means have their uses, even if, in the end most people would be "The end doesn't justify the means!", which i think is complete bullshit, if you have to eliminate a country to save the planet (no other options of course), then i would say yes do it, because in the end you are decimating people, for the safety of the rest. This happens all the time, sending disposable soldiers to scout, gets most of them killed, for valuable information that can save the rest of the army.

The way hero just keep smirking in regardless of situation made me laugh xD

well he is wearing a mask, so which one are you mentioning currently ? his mask grin or his grin's grin?
