What is the deal with the constant mentioning of One Piece?

He did the same thing in Gantz. I can't tell if he is genuinely a fan or if he is just parodying how popular the series is in Japan.

I'm loving this. Having the protagonist be a timid older man leading a dysfunctional family is a breath of fresh air, especially because he doesn't seem embittered by it or harbor them any ill will. Instead, he's a pure hearted hero who relishes his ability to help others. It may be because he's felt so helpless for so long, which is part of what happens when you age. I'm very interested to see where it goes from here, especially how his family develops as characters. I don't care for the antagonist, but I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to. He's young and drunk on power he shouldn't have.

What? shit, and i was sure that with chapter 7 just out i was ready to just go all the way,this is definitively the most irregular and obnoxious way to release/present a series, it reminds me a lot of the process that some official pages use when they adopt projects made by scanlators.

Anyway the only reason i can let this be is because this series is not worth the emotional investment, specially after the joke of an ending that the Gantz manga had going al hindu karma on us.

Why would he have seen him? It's not like they have transparent floors or habits of looking down all the time there. Kinda doubt commercial jets have precise enough radars to detect something that small either.
