Good read just need English scanilation.
He most likely just saw the cover picture without reading a single line of the manga.
The title alone is already parodying Monster Hunter and Hunter x Hunter. Just by reading the name of the series you already can see what type of manga it will be.

That aside, I´m hooked. Seems to be a funride that is poking fun/celebrating the "hunting" genre with an infusion of Japanese otaku cultures. That the art is nothing but amazing is the icing on this delicious cake.
Okay. Seriously. If you're going to say "this is similar to something", you better say why it is.
Just as a fun-fact for you, in this day and age, almost everything can seem, or remind you of something.
Two works can have a similar premise but turn out to be very different in direction, presentation, character development etc - but they can still have similar categories. Which is why I seldom use the phrase "completely different" when comparing works.
In this one shot's case, the similarity is in the Man vs Giant Beast concept. However I think that's where it ends - the author I think intentionally did that opening scene to draw attention; to make readers get the impression that it's going to be another SnK, while in fact it's more of a light-hearted Monster Hunter parody with loads of pop culture references. Or at least that's the impression I got. Medieval GTO x Monster Hunter???
That said, I really hope this is serialized. The self-deprecating humor is very entertaining. I hope the NEET gets to be the main character!
This is similar to a lot of mangas, but shingeki no kyojin isn't one of them...
Seems like a bit of an rip-off of Shingeki no Kyojin。。。
The only English chapter that I know of that is available is done by mangastream. So if you wish to read it head to their site.
