It's painful. He knows she's going to die at the next corner but is unable to stop her, because it would cause even more suffering.
He knows the future, but that future is already set in stone.
Not an enviable power.
Anyway, this manga was awesome. It's not often that a manga broaches on the subject of death.
Just to point out, Japanese doesn't work that way.
IT WAS ALL A DREAM
Humm... so Aya is actually a living person?
I'm confused.
Also, what was speculated below turned out to be complete bull. Aya is not Hayato.
we'll see. still need a lot of road to be on pair with eat-man.
also, i find disturbing that yuri best author is wasting his time with a paranormal manga
What?!!!!!
All these ghosts are here to guide the souls of people who are going to die in that accident.
That Eri would see them before it happens is ominous.
I find strange the concept of no causality in the limbo world. I thought time didn't work correctly since it could pass faster or slower depending on the soul, but not going back in time since that would open possibility of souls interfering in past events. Unless limbo world has its own set of rules. But if so then why many companions are starving for souls if they can go back in time or to the future and recollect more souls if needed. In limbo world we had causality but now ignored by this particular event.
Time doesn't exist in the interstice. Interesting concept.
Also, drama.
I think this could be Yoshitomi's best work at this point. Blue Drop was fine but not at this level and the anime adaption was mehh and unnoticed by most. The writing and how the protagonist is no different than the wraith is really appealing and the limbo world seems interesting.
Oh shit, The Ultimate Despair has appeared!
Man I'm having such a hard time reading this... I just keep staring at the awesome art...
Tbh I'd like an expansion on the blue drop series rather than short stories...
I did get quite emotional with it to some extent for some reason... Perhaps its the music
Thanks a lot for translating this great manga. Yoshitomi is also one of my favorite artists! By the way, I'm translating School Ningyo 2, for those who'd like to see his latest work: http://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/school-ningyo-2-r19370
And the Cycle continues?
Even a broken record is right twice a day...
no. the order is correct. it's just intermittent flashbacks.
Well that was... uh... hmmm...
Went from 0 to WTF real quick.
