Why does Hotaka act all bitter like that? And what will become of him as the sports teacher orders him to have at least "one secret swimming class lesson" where no one is supposed to be looking, whereas he normally skips class activities due to personal matters?

The expression was literally to pile up or layer memories, one on top of the other. From having seen this expression in the second story of Toradora Spinoff 2, I find it roughly equivalent to "making memories together", or "experiencing things together".

this chapter was so adorable, i love it, both MCs r just so beautiful that they need to stay together, anyways to the ppl saying incest i highly doubt that would happen, its probably step father maybe the MC was little when his mom got together with his "father" i mean seriously father isn't who puts the sperm but the one that actually looks for u while u grow and teaches u, those times r memorable anyways.

@Rumble : From what I understand from the story, the father of Awaya that is the father of Hotaka left Awaya's family & married the mother of Hotaka, just a quick judgement. I don't think that can be considered as incest.

from my view...its is hard to say they will be a couple. The girl might had approached the guy because she think they can understood each others. As people who lost their fathers twice.

There are two different fathers on both sides, and apparently a shared grandmother, taking a guess from the incident with the missing key and the grandmother with short-term memory problems.

It is possible that one father is the other's step-father.

i wouldn't say incest it seems that both there 2nd father was there 2nd father to each meaning no blood relation possibly step siblings. I think after chapter 6 they will start dating.
