So... the "protagonist" has decided to retaliate against the bully by hijacking her body, stripping her naked, walking around the school, then seducing/licking the first teacher that protests. I get that this is fiction and all, but this "innocent" scheme is basically rape. I find myself feeling less good about her whole process of taking back control of her own life as she responds to a misdemeanor with a class 1 felony.

What? so stupid they still had a chance to throw her down the window... what a waste, but well we got to see nipples so that's something.

Her dad should've asked the step for a paternity test and all of this would be avoided. Well... not sure if Japan law allows men to force paternity tests... I wonder how he feels about her being missing.

I keep liking it more and more. Among all VRMMO mangas out here this one is closest to what it would've been if we had full VR technology - its filled with munchkins, exploiters, jerks and generally show people as who they usually are, not those stupid and idiealistic casuals you see in other VRMMO manga.

its not even just about that, other series like SAO and log horizon present a terrible portrayal of how mmos actually are inside. for instance their so called "top players" are as stupid as lv 10 noobs. i still facepalm myself remembering the gungale online arc where kirito pulls a lightsaber and hands other players their asses and everybody is like "OMG I DIDNT KNOW YOU COULD USE IT LIKE THAT!!1". really? nowadays people figure everything out even before the patch is out through datamining.

being a long dated mmo player myself i just cant get immersed on those series because of the bad portrayal of the MMO world and community.

That's pretty naive thinking. The moment Kaori sells it and gets the money, the stepmother would just take it all using any excuse or no excuse at all and spend it all on booze, gambling and drugs. What's Kaori going to do, stand up for herself?

Even worse would be if the stepmother came to the conclusion that this could become a cash cow for her and forces Kaori to make even more money for her and beats Kaori if she doesn't meet the arbitary quota she sets. Always remember, things can always get worse and the silver lining of any cloud may be a lightning bolt that's about to strike you when one of the genres of the story you're in is 'tragedy'.

In Japan and various other countries it's okay for teenagers to live alone.

Unless Japan has similar banking laws as America where the child is essentially the property of the parents, she could easily make a bank account, sell it, and live off it. Or her friend could have it in her bank, then her abusive step mother could not ever touch it.

But I guess I am naive for expecting logic in a dark comedy manga~

Maybe with just her it was hard but now if she ask the other 2 they can carry the body and throw it down the window, then call it a day.
