Description: | Fujisawa Ayana was horribly bullied at school. At first, she tried to defend herself, but she soon learned to just stay quiet and wait for the pain to end. However, the bullying escalated one day, when someone pushed her into traffic. At the hospital, as she recovered, she suddenly realized that even if she didn't fight back, her classmates were probably going to eventually kill her. From this realization, she soon decided that the only path left was for her to take revenge. Her new plan included the students who bullied her, those who stood aside and laughed, and those who did nothing to make it stop. She began gathering notes on her classmates, planning exactly what she could do to make each of their lives collapse. While some of the students really seemed to deserve their fate, her plan also included classmates that she used to count as close friends... |

this shit already stopped making any sense after the first few chapters
The sad thing is, i really did buy that crap...
I really didn't expected such a awful last tome.
I have to admit, I am not a fan of last-minute plot twists, especially when the author and the story seemed to be all-in on the original direction of the plot, which only kinda-sorta made sense after 20-something chapters, to begin with. But, when one sees genre tags like Horror, Psychological, and tragedy, they do not get to say "what the f**k," because they should have known what they signed on for.
With that said, the title (translation) "Revenge Classroom" was very appropriate. And, although I found many parts of the story to be unsavory or unsatisfactory, those qualities somehow fit with the ugliness of the characters, in the end. Unlike some of the commentators, I thoroughly enjoyed the manga. And, provided that some readers are interested in a kind of Death Note-meets-Another story with objectionable themes like rape and murder, then I would have no problem recommending it to someone else. So, enjoy.
Jesus Christ, that was fucking awful.
This manga was never really good: but it was a fun ride for a while if nothing else. A simple revenge plot for the sake of having a story without much else put into it, an interesting main character, evil vs evil, some gore and blood, etc etc. It wasn't good mind you: but it was a fun little thing to read. The sort of manga you don't read because you want a great plot, story, or even characters: just a fun ride. Like watching a mindless summer blockbuster with two dozen gunfights and explosions that you forget in a week, but you don't mind because you had popcorn and had a fun time with everyone. Girl gets bullied and a bunch of people die/get horribly maimed as she gets her revenge (so I guess Saw 3D would've been a better comparison) while you get to watch the bloody mess that follows! Nice! And we're supposed to buy that crap?
But these last five chapters or so? The manga decided to suddenly try to have a big complicated plot thrown into it to try to make everything make "sense." The idea that everything was plans within plans and deceptions within deceptions, and then THAT mindfuck of a "master plan?"
That Yuuya was actually her brother the whole time and he was able to play everyone like a damn fiddle from before the plot even started? Because he was bored? That he was this master planner and manipulator that makes Light Yagami look like a baby? That literally everything 100% went perfectly as expected?
And we're supposed to buy that crap?
Well, I'll give everything before The 24th Victim a 3 out of 5 for doing exactly what was expected and nothing else. Everything after that is a 1/5 at best.
Just bash the guy's brain in and dump him in a sewer. Justice served.
This got too convoluted and off the rails, like Arachnid. Still, thank you for scanlating.
delightful to finally read the ending
solid 3 stars
Plan means keikaku.
I completely understand, I just figured it couldn't hurt to ask lol. Thank you!
"Is it done, Yuri?"
"No Comrade Premier, it has only begun."
Don't worry, we didn't take offence and that's why we recommended you wait for EGS' version. You were more respectful than most. It's just that we don't consider it healthy policy to abide by readers' requests seeing as scanlation is a very personal hobby.
I hope you enjoy the conclusion of the series when EGS finishes scanlating it.
Well, I'm glad you don't have the same problem, but I have ADD and Dyslexia, so for me, reading is hard enough as it is. I was trying to ask politely, and only for the last chapter.
Jesus Christ, you're really thin skinned, aren't you? Was it you who put those shitty notes all over the chapters? Well newsflash, they were fucking stupid. Sure this manga isn't the best, but putting jokes that not even a grade schooler would find funny all over the manga doesn't improve the quality, it actually drags the tone down to "Adam Sandler movie" level and distracts the readers from paying attention to the story.
Next time you want to play MST3K, call your friends and go bother people at your town's movie theatre.
kind of a lame ending but, well,
on a separate note, i still don't understand ren's motivations or reasoning at all. or why he couldn't strangle
You must live a very empty life if that's your definition of meaningful. Go outside for once or something, maybe you'll become less bitter that way.
Not the worst ending I've seen, not many revenge stories can get good endings anyway so I didn't have high expectations to start with. The story had some good moments, and I have to say while the twist reveal at the very end is definitely a bit convoluted, I actually kinda enjoyed it. After it's revealed I totally see the similarities in the character designs.
Death Toll Scanlations and Kendama, thank you for your work. If I remember right Kendama did the work on Destroy and Revolution, too. That one had one of the single most disappointing endings I've ever seen in a manga, so hopefully the next one you finish has an actually satisfying ending!
By the way, if anyone wants a GOOD revenge manga, I recommend you read Hepatica. The artwork is kinda off-putting at first, but once you get past that, it fits so, so well. It avoids the pitfalls that this one had by keeping the story simple and to the point. Just be warned, it's not a "fun" revenge story. It honestly gets pretty horrifying and disturbing at times—and I mean "disturbing" both from an emotional standpoint AND from how graphic it gets.
And in the end, nothing ended.
Who thought this ending was a good idea?
That ending... you disappointed me, author.
It just gave the impression that he was desperately trying to wrap things up in a "good" way, with a moral and other BS, but that went south very badly.
Most of the characters were insane but the final explanation of a last minute mastermind was telegraphed and far too reasonable. And the father, who is an asshole, loses nothing and probably continues destroying lives.
Instead of going crescendo, like it should have, and ending in apotheosis, it winded down to "and the curse continues", so whatever.
everything felt to rushed in the last 10 or so chapters. also this whole "your dad is a dick so im going to torture you and make you kill yourself. also im controlled by a super genius but thats only revealed in the last 5 pages" is pretty bullshit...
Well that went places.
Talk about a botched "TALK ABOUT BOTCHED BOOBJOB"
Always happy to oblige, Abedeus! o/
