so ummm..I have a question, just asking cos' I would like to know. is Japan kinda..freedom in all way?
I mean, there is so much manga that I read that's in genre be it comedy, tragedy comedy, or slice of life comedy tragedy that I noticed, they do make fun of their prime minister am I right? I mean I know some manga won't use real name, but some did. & some of them just using " light " joke making fun of their people, some of them really2x mean joke on their people.
sorry it just, in my country you can't make a heavy joke on prime minister in such way, light joke is okay but, if Japan kind of style, or south park style, it will get you in trouble.
so yah, I do see a lot of manga that make fun of their people very open especially when it comes to government.
About the new chapters: I have the translation scripts done (a couple need to be edited), but I haven't done any cleaning/typesetting at all. I just don't have the time/ability to do it properly. If someone or some group wants to pick up this series and do it themselves, please be my guest. Until someone else starts working on it, I'll at least try to keep the scripts coming so that you all can know what's going on in the story.
You can find the scripts here: https://pastebin.com/u/SevenFacedBird
Chapter 49 is the start of the new chapters.
Some good news for people hoping for an official english release: Viz picked it up for 2018 release.

Ah 48.5 page 17, I think someone forgot to translate the nandemonaiyo to English. That one's actually Japanese, not Invaderese hehe.
For the short term it wouldn't speed things up, since Asano's put Dead Dead Demon's Destruction on hiatus right now until it resumes publication sometime in the fall. (Asano's been scheduling his releases this way so he can build up a backlog of chapters to release regularly, since they take so long to make & because he's got a supportive editorial situation)
so many shit mangas being scanlated everyday and this amazing work with no grup
how to understand?
For anyone out of the loop, M3OW has quit scanlation and isn't doing this series anymore. I'm still doing the translations and uploading them for whoever wants to use them. If you haven't seen them yet, the alternate versions of 47 and 48 have the alien text and normal text switched compared to the original chapters, along with some new pages. The 2 pages I just uploaded (assuming they get approved) are the end of the Isobeyan story that started in chapter 41.
Yes. Have you?
Have you actually read I am a Hero, because that's not what that story is about at all.
Why yes, it is definitely a good idea to be more like a trashy zombie flick, the main selling points of which being cheap gore and ridiculousness upped to eleven, in a story that mirrors contemporary society.
Wow, this is one really boring story.
Not because it's over-simplified or stupid, but because it's realistic to the point where you ask yourself if the author is writing Drama storyboards parttime...
Japanese Drama is +- the most boring form of Japanese entertainment.
Not even the worst step-up comedian could be that boringly realistic as those actors trying to enact everydays life in Japan.
The same holds true for this story. The children sound like children, the side characters aren't your typical roles, people die randomly. If it was a little more like
"I am a Hero", it could be a really good story without becoming unrealistic in the process [ I hate my brain trying to build up imaginary tension like when reading this work, since I'm already "conditioned" by consuming too much casual trash manga ].
I can't believe it took me so long to read this. It's fantastic!
Im just... at a loss at at the face reveal
laughing so hard
somehow that was the last thing I expected to see????
Man, man, maaaaan, I took this up thinking it was not such a great manga. Maaaaan, I'm on chapter 13, this is so good, the characters feel so real...
I might be against Inio Asano's take on the manga genre, but he sure knows his shit.
>decide to colonize planet
>neglect to even think about the post-industrial society there
>get rekt for being arrogant as fuck
ayylmaos btfo
i imagine the intention is to let current events play out and draw inspiration from it. we live in interesting times.
>continuing in fall
Why you gotta play me like this Asano?
sooo... one question keeps bugging me... are those helmets or their faces??
never post again
I'm feeling some intense levels of smug right now against all the people naive enough to think that the ayylmaos dindu nuffin.
Only one option left now...
@ SerRompalot after re reading chapter 2, the "f" bomb was dropped the day after the appearance of the invaders and the crash that caused the initial casualties.
@ OniBarubary i'm getting flashbacks of when chapter 31 was released and the discussions that ensued.
Wasn't the magnetic field a byproduct of a nuclear missile's explosion? It's been a long time since I've read the earlier chapters, so I might be mistaken.
I mean...this is sort of what it's all coming around to. Nobody in this situation is blameless. The aliens came here and looked down on humans. They got fucked up by humans who used the situation to push for bloated defense budgets and fuck up the political sphere in deference to "helping the economy." You get the aliens no longer being a threat getting slaughtered, mercilessly en masse by a dude who can't get over an accidental crash that killed a girl he liked due to the humans using their weapons on pretty much a helpless race.
Nobody is a good person here. Everyone is selfish and taking things way too far.
Uguu~
