So I've read the five volumes of this thing released in France, because I was curious to see how well Shiono would do with a sci-fi story. The answer is… badly. Really, while reading the series wasn't exactly a chore, I didn't get much enjoyment from it either. Most characters are flat, everying seems rushed, and the heroes just seem to travel from planet to planet without a clear objective. And the "final fight", if you can call it that, is an incomprehensible mess. Also, the author seems to have come up with the characters' and places' names by throwing Scrabble pieces against a wall and seeing what stuck.
This series admittedly had some good ideas, but in the execution, nothing really worked, not even the humour. And visually, it's just plain ugly − not the drawings (although the characters aren't very expressive, which doesn't help), but the universe and the designs. The universe just looks like a huge junkyard, which I guess is the point, but doesn't make for a pleasant read.
Nope, I won't miss this series.
The strength was somewhat explained. It's in correlation to the "Artificial Heart" that he has. Enoc already made mention that it's "current settings" were enough to give him the ability to live. Translation? It was working at bare minimum capacity. Basically it was a high spec item operating on "life support only" Enoc fixed it. Thus OP mode has been triggered. His goals are "vague" at the moment but the state goal by Enoc is to "Defeat the Gatekeepers and restart the 'Millenium Experiment'." However the only one who can do that is the one with the bloodline of the Zaison Royal Family. (Basically whatever the Millenium Experiment is... it's going to completely devestate the Gatekeepers plans) I will have to say that it's about time they finally introduced the titicular character.
was waiting for cute girl appearance!
As there are female characters that are called "loli", this main character is what is referred to as "shouta". The shorts are usually a sure sign.
I just read this through for the first time, and I have no idea what's going on. I still don't know how the main character got his power, how powerful he is, and what his goal is. It's like this is part of a light novel, and we have to read that to fill in the blanks.
Latest chapter, what comes to mind: Ershin.
After analyzing author's previous works...
Judging from the author's thinking style...
I'm guessing there's a girl inside Pico Pico....
Well whaddaya know? KOS-MOS much?
Of course inside pico is a girl
I mean why the fk not right ?
Why is inside of a fking battery is not a girl right ?
....
........
Something about that panel where Pico comment of a place with gravity with his position made me lulz.
my thoughts on the last couple pages
Well shoot. Only a few chapters left then...
Please let there be an epilogue-like part where we can see if his empire/country is ever restored or what happens to the universes if it isn't.
Remembered it. And now I'm sad.
KOS-MOS is that you?
True that xD
I was pretty sure after the second blast, a girl would come out. It was after the third lol.
Unexpected !

Nice to meet you Zelphy.
Since they talked about a "coffin" since 1st chap It was expected.
About the content being a girl, well with that author it was almost 100% sure.
That actually surprised me.
Hands up, everyone! Who didn't guess what was inside the box?

Well it seems that we have a little misunderstanding between us, I DO NOT think that this manga is excellent and that readers worldwide are going to be greatly affected by being deprived of a master piece in the making, what I said is that this manga could have reached a higher level of quality with more publishing time, so far this manga has been ok, it is a good way to spend some minutes of a free afternoon but that´s it.
My opinion regarding the potential that this manga could have had is based on the author's other work, Ubel Blatt, which for me is not a master piece either but it is a manga whose chapters I really look forward to read and is also based on some very interesting stories that have their settings on the deeps of the space, stories which in time have evolved into long and complex universes. Does this manga is going to achieve that? We already know the answer: No, but that is something that I would have liked very much.
A point on which we do not have differents points of view is that we both agree that international readers seem to have zero influence on the manga industry, even those from countries where some manga had been licensed, what we think does not matters as little or no money is being made from this parts of the world.
if you do, make sure and post it
because he still looks like a kid =P
NO!! why is the protagonist so cute-looking??????
shehe is a boy not girlnewsflash,
if you're an international fans or readers, what you think is excellent and etc doesnt matter unless you go to japan , be their citizen and be their otaku community where you became their rating of something important to them and then it does really matter, just look at Mx0 , japan think its shit while we the other international reader think it got alot of potential
