There should be a tag for dry humor. It has decent intentions, but this manhua's flow is too off to be enjoyable.

It really is. Usually it is kind of bad in this one, but this chapter, 4-1, was pretty bad in particular.

Why is it that the only featured comic that doesn't either completely suck or is overladen with yaoi (not that there's anything wrong with that) is impossible to read in order?

The Golden Sparrow is fairly interesting.

a mild suggestion @saikoplus (basically whoever is uploading these): put the chapter names as 1.1 and 1.2, 2.1 and 2.2. etc. instead of 1-1, 1-2, 2-1 and so on so that the chapter order isn't confusing when reading after a few releases? it's a tad bit confusing when trying to read and it skips from chapter 1-1 to chapter 2-2, for example

edit: the main page has it in the right order, but the reader itself is mixing it up, so idk what's going on there

And that's a pity imho. In such a case, from the storytelling and composition points of view, the chapter should at least end with a scene from the main universe, so that we get the taste of what it will actually be.
