Yeah I am also reading the books, I am on book 16, and I can't say there is a bad one in the bunch so far. The books are way more in depth than the films, but don't get me wrong, I think the films did a really good job of staying true to the characters even if they did take some liberties with the stories.
DAMN IT ENGLISH PLEASE
I am currently reading the original novels that have been TLed into English and published by Dark Horse. I have the first 22 books and have preordered the next two. So far, there is much more in the novels than in either the two anime films or the Spanish language manga scanlation.
And the English translation of the novels is actually quite readable and enjoyable, in my opinion.
It's currently officially available for purchase from Digital Manga, last time I checked.
Let's hope someone translates this into english
