A very melancholy read. Thanks for this.

It's painful. He knows she's going to die at the next corner but is unable to stop her, because it would cause even more suffering.

He knows the future, but that future is already set in stone.

Not an enviable power.

Anyway, this manga was awesome. It's not often that a manga broaches on the subject of death.

What a strange tale! Thanks a lot SiberOwl!

AYA can be a cut of from hAYAto in my opinion

Just to point out, Japanese doesn't work that way.

IT WAS ALL A DREAM

Ok, now i want to know how is he connected to the stories, overall.

Humm... so Aya is actually a living person?

I'm confused.

Also, what was speculated below turned out to be complete bull. Aya is not Hayato.

I think this could be Yoshitomi's best work at this point. Blue Drop was fine but not at this level and the anime adaption was mehh and unnoticed by most. The writing and how the protagonist is no different than the wraith is really appealing and the limbo world seems interesting.

we'll see. still need a lot of road to be on pair with eat-man.

also, i find disturbing that yuri best author is wasting his time with a paranormal manga

I thinks Aya is actually Hayato in the future where he became Tsurebito due to unforeseen accident or something. The naming maybe a hint as well as AYA can be a cut of from hAYAto in my opinion. Well if my speculation turn to be true then "what comes around goes around" very fit the author's theme of writing a story.

What?!!!!!

Oh. My. God. Can't wait for the next chapter!
Oh? Eri is going to die?

All these ghosts are here to guide the souls of people who are going to die in that accident.

That Eri would see them before it happens is ominous.
Okay Saburou might have killed Mako at this point since that's one of the methods to become a wraith. And the timing is fishy. It was the same day Mako confessed.

I find strange the concept of no causality in the limbo world. I thought time didn't work correctly since it could pass faster or slower depending on the soul, but not going back in time since that would open possibility of souls interfering in past events. Unless limbo world has its own set of rules. But if so then why many companions are starving for souls if they can go back in time or to the future and recollect more souls if needed. In limbo world we had causality but now ignored by this particular event.

Time doesn't exist in the interstice. Interesting concept.

Also, drama.

Oh shit, The Ultimate Despair has appeared!

Man I'm having such a hard time reading this... I just keep staring at the awesome art...

I war creepily grossed out visually with saburos arc(the message is good tho and i like it.)
Spoiler
. And then i was heavilly saddened by that Aya kid arc. I even shed a tear... Clap clap author... clap clap
I randomly stumbled upon this series and I noticed the blue drop style artwork almost straight away...

Tbh I'd like an expansion on the blue drop series rather than short stories...

I did get quite emotional with it to some extent for some reason... Perhaps its the music

Thanks a lot for translating this great manga. Yoshitomi is also one of my favorite artists! By the way, I'm translating School Ningyo 2, for those who'd like to see his latest work: http://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/school-ningyo-2-r19370

And the Cycle continues?

Even a broken record is right twice a day...

Pages out of order?

no. the order is correct. it's just intermittent flashbacks.

Pages out of order?

Well that was... uh... hmmm...

Went from 0 to WTF real quick.
