The Perfect Finger

it's an excellent commentary on sex, permission, and male entitlement.  It's far more interesting to me if you look at the possession of the finger or the vagina as purely metaphorical and focus on the way the two male characters argue about their "ownership" of the woman's parts as a proxy for her.  Or for her sex.  My personal view is that it could extend a step further with the "ownership" of the vagina as a metaphor for ownership of "virginity" and the younger gentleman upset about someone else "getting there first." 

 

All of these attitudes are reflect wide issues in Japan (and elsewhere) with unequal sexual roles and that are embodied in the many very troubling plot lines exhibited in Japanese pornography and hentai manga/anime.  How many, "Now, you're mine!" or, "I'm going to own you!" or, "I'm going to carve my **** into your ****" lines do you read?  The theme of ownership here is very real and very troubling.  And while it's not something that you see reflected 1:1 in real life, it's something that you see affect the *expectations* of a generation.  (Go read some of the academic work on pornography's influence on expectations regarding sex for males and females in the USA or Germany.)
