does the manhua have an announced periodicity for realeases? is it every semester or something?
I really like the story but the years is really messed up, chapter 12 mentions that emperor Jingzong died in year 862 but it was really in year 827 and the story is a fictionalized account of a real historical event from year 835.
Is it? or is it not!?
To be continued x 15
Is 12 out of order?
This I agree with, it seems weird. But maybe it is a translation issue like you assumed. Or maybe he did say his name, but the author choose to leave out this part of the dialog (I can't think of any reason to do so, but who knows).
And the earlier chapter with the naming convention thing doesnt make sense, im not sure if its a bad translation or what, but when the old guy was meeting with the fake sparrow, he asked for the fake sparrow's real name and the fake sparrow said he had already given it. But at no point whatsoever did he actually give his name?
I read both The Golden Sparrow and Dorohedoro, and it didn't occur to me that the two are similar.
In any case Dorohedoro is messy, but extremely entangling. I highly recommend it.
strange but still interesting
Ah dear sir, let me tell you a story... long time ago there was a robotic cat that coming from the future to save its owner ancestor so the ancestor can married its owner great great grandmother so the owner still can exist, the dweller of another dimension are interested with this story, so the ancestor were blessed with immortality so the cat robot can't go back to the future and will be trapped in the past...forever
You should just be more attentive while reading.
Yan Po did not wipe out the 18th generation of that family, we were never told what generation(s) they belonged to. What the assassin did is "kill 18 members of the Huang family".
It's fair to assume that those people belonged to one of the much earlier generations than 16th of 18th.
This manga is constantly making no sense.
Well this bodes ill for Cat and Fox.
It must be something falling off the mirror _|¯|o
Golden Sparrow & Gosu (The Master) are by far my current favorites. If anyone wants to read another dark story that is based on magic instead of Eastern alchemy, check out Dorohedoro. The ending gets pretty weird but the journey is amazing, the art is messy but also clear and descriptive just like Golden Sparrow.
Thank you for scanlating this!
This is pretty good. Some grammar mistakes here and there, but no biggie. Now, if only the watermarks were smaller and less numerous. It's not like we need a reminder of who the scanlation group is on every page, much less such a big one. A credits page does the work much better, I think.
Something was covered by a (poor) "redraw" in page 31, I wonder what it was.
I personally do not get bothered by Watermarks, but some have been in "Annoying" places. Some people get crazy about it in other Manga on here.
Fixed that for you man... Cannot misrepresent statistics now... .
I think Opinions should be welcomed as long as they don't cause strife. I will say that talking bad about a Manga is something I don't like, but at the same time I'm guilty of doing it when Manga fall from their glory, such as Toriko, because it's just so upsetting to see what potential the story had, and how great it was originally.
However, positivity is always ftw .
It's the first thing i saw, to each his own i guess.
Holy crap, 0.05% of the comments are somewhat negative! The audacity that anyone reading the scans dare give their opinion about said work. Those heathens.
Oh . . . yeah, now that I look at it again, there are watermarks.
Holy crap, 0.5% of each page is covered by a watermark! The audacity that anyone involved in comic making OR scanlation (scanning and translation) dare take credit for their work! Those fiends!
Honestly,
I just despise the use of big colored watermarks on EVERY page, i understand why it's there, but i can't stand it, something less "eye-catchy" would've been perfect.
I'll pass on this one :/
Edit: i'm not a native english speaker, i have a doubt about the use of the word colored in this sentence. Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.
So the ancient shape shifting villain is surprised by the existence of a regeneration elixir? mmmh maybe this will be a short story.
Is not using screentones considered good or not?
