Wow, the art is incredibad.
Meh, read the light novel, kind of just feels like a love drama with vrmmorpg shoved in there for the heck of it. If you have finished this and want something that better utilises the vrmmorpg setting go read "Royal Road Legend of the Moonlight Sculptor", I liked it a lot better than this and it felt less cliche.
first anime arc is moving to say the least. it's so good, the best part being so devoid of moves and techniques and powerups. The fairy arc is sorta okay but when you come from such an high quality work of course you cant help noticing.
Just watch the anime, it is FAR better than any manga adaption
And don't whine about it being bad or something like that just because the second half (the "fairy dance" arc) was kind of disappointing
This is a light novel adaption and keep in mind that the author is the same guy who brought us "Accel world" (In fact, the stories are in the same "world", only that "Accel World" is somewhere in the 2040s while SAO is in the 2200s) AND that he is writing both novels at the same time
Yep, he works on two LNs at once and both are true masterpieces, after all the anime only covers two volumes of the LN (well, actually 4 volumes, but the 2 additional volumes are only side stories)
I read the first 10 pages and shut the windows...
very nice and long explanation
The ending felt a little rushed.
The volume has to be released first, dum dum. And that's supposed to happen in december.
Unless you're a mad genius and you've managed to invent a time machine that can travel to and from the future and you're willing to let baka-tsuki use it.
But I do agree with most of you that the pacing in the manga is horrible, I stopped reading this thing after 3 chapters, no kidding here.
Okay so this is what I think about the whole situation:
Please baka-tsuki hurry up and translate the 11th volume...I beg of you...
The art isn't great either. (Look at dem Bleach-style backgrounds.)
I also hate it when scanlators put [end]...makes me feel depressed
In anime or novel, however, Haruyuki is far too weak a protagonist. I couldn't care less about his obesity, but he has the spine of a strawberry pudding.
