Susanoo (NAGAI Go)

This definitely got axed, but even taking that into account, that last chapter was a bit strange.

I have no idea how up you are on Japanese mythology, but the final image of Susa shows him wearing the three sacred treasures of Shintoism: the sword, beads, and shield. He has transformed into the second coming of the god Susanoo who will (presumably) save the world. A Japanese person recognizes the image immediately, no differently than a westerner would recognize an image of a man with flowing long hair, holes in his hands and feet, and a cross around his neck.

That was one hell of a ride, and I'm really glad to have undertaken it. Thanks for translating this.

This manga is awesome we started as a high school psychic comedy passed to a tragedy then some kind of weird ashita no joe moment back in the boxing match then a delincuent manga then to monsters and psychic hitler  and  kaijuu, THEN A FRIGGIN SPACESHIP OUT OF NOWHERE . Its like the ride never ends and it keeps on going and going XD

This is a known bug, the choice in the reader does nothing, it works if you add/modify the server_selection cookie yourself though.

#1 if you read a lot of Go Nagai manga, or just know about why they are controvercial, that is one of the reasons, its one of the many things he's known for.

#2 in all his manga that do have it in them, they aren't treated as "oh forgive and forget" or "they did it because they love them so its ok", it is never ok, and is treated as such, its not something those characters ever forget, it's a a horrible tourtures experience for those characters that they always have in there memories.
It's a terrible thing, and is treated as such in his manga, which a lot of manga try to sugar coat it, he does not at all, no matter who the person, what the age, and what the gender, it is always treated as something horrible in his manga.

It's seem quite ironic that it's more apparent in older mangas, rape also happens in Ishinomori Shotaro's mangas (and it's simply not forgotten or taken lightly). It seems as if more modern, adult themes are actually touched upon, something that is sort of absent in many of today's mangas, including seinen, where it's mostly either about sexual elements (where the line between shounen and seinen would be how much is shown) or gruesome scenes/deaths, just for the sake of it.
