How do you interpret this work? What would "spinoza"mean repeated in various moments?

I seem to remember other series done in this style and published in Heavy Metal magazine back in the late 1970s or early 1980s.  They may have been reprints from the original French magazine, Metal Hurlant.

I may have to reread through my collection to find out exactly when it was published and who the author is.

Well, no shit, Koike's work is heavily inspired by Moebius.

That is some inception shit.

I don't know about any works of his appearing in Heavy Metal, but the oneshot "Landed" by this mangaka (collected in Heaven's Door) was published in Epic Illustrated in 1984.

IF you like this one, you all have to check one of my favs by this guy, Heavens door is just incredible!
