Feels like the author can't think of anything and just try to ride the DDLC wave.
Is her character deluding her, or empowering her? I don't know if a chuunibyou period is actually constructive; I know mine certainly wasn't - understanding reality and growing into who you can actually be rather than someone you never will be will bring anyone further along in self recognition. But then, in any system where individual expression is restrained and the opportunity to develop as a person and a personality are limited, you have to take what you can get, and art is certainly a functioning outlet for that.

MonikaHaruka!?I thought the author discontinue this series.
This is why you shouldnt do drugs people
I mean, it's tagged as drama and doesnt have a comedy tag, so maybe funny wasn't what he was aiming for?
I feel like the author just tossed as many cliches as possible into this to be tongue in cheek about them, but it was so poorly delivered that he ended up making everything not funny.
lmao what is with that bald kid
First chapter ended pretty dark hmm.
Thanks for translating tho!
To clear this up, in essence, they all have the same meaning but by doing this, readers are able to differentiate them all. Each of the categories usually have their own distinct style, that's why it's important to group them. Manga is for comics originated from Japan, Manhua is for comics originated from China, Manhwa is for comics originated from Korean, and Other for, well, others.
No matter what's the meaning in any language, in Batoto that's how it goes.
Yes, yes, whatever. The universal "I have no actual argument so I am going to act like I don't care" response. The very fact that you're suggesting that manga = comics so therefore the comic should be called manga as an argument is flawed at best. If they're truly the same, then you wouldn't have cared and shouldn't have responded...
Yes, if Oda came to the US but continued to make comics, they'd still be considered manga. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that he's Japanese? And you're not... ? Seriously, this shit ain't hard. You know why I said anything? Because this was not categorized correctly and you wasted my time reading a cheap knockoff when I could have just read the real thing. For the record, I knew as soon as a read it that it wasn't manga, that's the very reason it shouldn't be called manga and if you can't understand that, unfortunately, you're too dumb.
And yes, you're correct, in Japan, manga means comics. But do you know why your argument fails? Because we're neither in Japan nor are we speaking Japanese. This is English. In English, manga is defined as Japanese comics. Not my definition, the English speaking world's definition.
There were also a couple of comics based on the concept over at Tapastic, one called "Hero hazard" and another one I can't remember. Ialso remember there being a doujin, which I read on Batoto.
Sorry for not being able to provide titles nor links. I never really put much time into reading them, and have therefor forgotten their names.
So if Eiichiro Oda came to America and made some new stuff that was published by Marvel and read left to right is is a comic because it's not from Japan or is it a manga because the author is Japanese?
Manga does not mean 'Japanese Comics', it is a Japanese word that means 'Comics'.
Whatever.
Nice work, and I'm looking forward to more chapters.
#mangamagic
That's one shitty definition then.
or manga-inspired comic. it's all pretty much the same in the end. as long as people enjoy the series, i'm fine with whatever they call it.
FeelsBadMan
let's call it, Manga-inspired graphic novel.
The very definition of manga requires it to be of Japanese origin. And the same can be said of manwha and manhua. Don't take it as a jab at your comic, it isn't meant to be.
