I feel you bro, I feel you.
And now I need to go look for the original comics.
The only time I'm glad I'm Indonesian.
It's mostly because they localize nothing but the names, isn't it? Like Trauma Center where they sloppily rename people while all the details remain Japanese.
I'm not really big of the starting premise, will the fleshing out of the core details of this setting make it more appealing (so I can endure the beginning?)
so I don't expect the author would go in-depth with mechanics of this comic, but it would be interesting if they do. For example, is the droid sentient being? Do they act in character of their original lore, can resist order or pursue other course of action? Well don't expect too much though, since they made it game-like in nature
The story, execution and idea is like watching Pokemons fused with later series of Yugioh (or other crappy card-game anime) with tons of jokes from the web. But those mythology bits are nice.
i feel the same dude, it's just doesn't work with English.......
I find this very weird because the names is too traditional.......
So.. I read the raw...
Lol it feels so... Yugioh (ZeXaL)
Ck, typical fangirls, so loyal they are..
That was a good fight start.
culture-shock plays important role on this part... since you already knew the meaning of some name and when you unconsciously comparing names between manga and/or manhwa and/or manhua with your native names, it'll produce a strange incongruity... happen to read some localized japanese manga where they arbitrarily change the name into like 'Jake', 'Luke', 'Mary', 'christie'... i'm not a native white, but almost all the white readers and non-white readers are totally disturbed by it and hell broke loose on the comment section... lol...
Interesting. It reminds me of Angelic Layer by Clamp.
The gag is good. I would like to see the battle scene and the depth of the story before score it
Basically it's the same as the first time you read Manhua or Manhwa if you originally only read Japanese Manga mmm...
let's see if this worth a while, next chapter please?
Always cool to read something from an unknown culture. The fresh cultural references will be interesting.
this is cool, can't wait for next chapter ....
i prefer aura kasih as my droid though
havent read it yet but judging from the cover i guess there will be some hero from native folklore like arjuna (?), gatot kaca(?), si buta dari goa hantu(?), wiro sableng 212(?), si pitung(?) etc etc... probably some villain and evildoers like wewe gombel(?), kolor ijo(?), mak lampir(?), nyi roro kidul(?), etc etc...
man... if what i mentioned above were true then i think this will be going from absurd to avant garde...
lol...
so is indian malaysia or philliphine names in this kind of work. the representation just need to be prettier to make people get used to it really. even the most weird name possible given enough time of apreciation will sounds normal later on.
We have been considering this actually, just haven't found the person that want to do the job. And is content with our 'schedule'.
Bruh, you serious? No..
please make "Siji,Loro,Telu" not One two three
Interesting, but I would suggest the addition of an English proofreader to your team. There are a lot of small grammatical mistakes in the translation. It's understandable as-is, but each mistake is like stumbling over a rock in your path - the flow is momentarily halted. The English proofreader would not need any Indonesian language experience to be able to contribute to your work.
