Hnn. Meh. I wonder if there's something wrong with me. I did appreciate the gentle and controlled atmosphere of the story but I have to say, I mostly found this... uninteresting. By the sixth chapter I found my attention wandering and I mostly kept reading because I wanted to know about whatever had happened in the past. In the end, I found the revelation more than a tad bit anticlimactic. What happened wasn't that unusual in my opinion. Dangerous and a bit dramatic, sure, but hardly anything to hide, and no way should kids that age be blamed for any of it. Asou's parents, though... Why would they tell him that? Oh, well.
