In my experience, one thing (not the only thing) girls are often very attracted to is good looking guys who don't give off a vibe of wanting them.  I'm not sure if the subconscious logic is "Isn't desperate --> Already has what he wants -->  Must be a good catch" or what, but it seems to be a thing.  Maybe many girls are just sick to death of come-ons.

Those of us who either aren't good looking or aren't good at playing it cool will have to find other approaches or just make do with, I dunno, ending up with people we particularly hit it off with because we have a lot in common and our personalities mesh.

Way to start off the chapter.

I've been wondering wtf does the "sensei" do for a living, it can't be those classes.

Unfortunately, over the past fifty years, I have seen the politically correct movement become almost completely successful in arranging for almost everybody becoming so offended by almost anything in order to give them an excuse to pass a law against it.  Those people just can't be happy unless they are making the life of somebody else miserable.

I've started to think it's a kind of displacement.  I mean, the point underneath most of the political correctness stuff is power; it's a desperate attempt to try to come up with ways to stop those who have social power from using it to mess with those who don't--without actually reducing or challenging the power (in our society, more specifically the money) itself.  It's an effort to make some of the symptoms of massive inequality palatable so as to be able to ignore the inequalities and injustices themselves.  

Since that can't possibly work, the result is they have to try harder and harder and harder, go to more and more ridiculous extremes, especially since the inequalities keep getting bigger and the hierarchies steeper.  So I give political correctness half marks.  It's nice that people feel the need to do something, but not so good that they can't face what is really needed--some sort of radically egalitarian revolution.  Largely useless, but still probably better than the other dominant approach, which is basically "I don't care how bad things are, it's fun to make them even worse and hopefully at least I can get mine!" often even combined with being self-righteous about it.

So...  He only faps to that one girl, eh?

 

My problem would be trying to think of anyone...  or any THING...  that I DON'T fap to.
