Iyami finally in France.

You make a valid point, I think the only way for all of these giants to get enough screen time/development is if the point of interest is temp. taken of the main character and focused on another individual (For example, maybe showcase their point of view when their respective country is being invaded or something as we learn more about them so that when they meet the main character, we already know who they are). Other than that, the only thing i can logically think of at this point is that some of these giants are gonna end up as fodder characters to strengthen other giants (For example, having the kosmes' ripped out of them and absorbed by others in a mortal combat fashion).

It felt to me like the other girls were introduced to up the stakes of the drama with the main character, like all these other giant girls appear when Kiryuin is the weakest. It will definitely be a shame if they were just fodder though, a lot of them look really cool!

Hmm. Unless he's planning on making a three thousand chapter shounen battle series, that many giant girls might be a mistake. What makes the series great is the close examination of the viewpoints of each girl, while the mystery sci-fi plot/intrigue goes on underneath. I don't know if there can be time to fully develop each of these new characters, especially with the added feeling of stress from their appearance all over the world. I can see this very easily getting convoluted and rushed and unsatisfying.

Am I the only one who can't make heads or tails of what the reporter is saying near the end? I get the gist of

spoiler for current chapter, 23

This would make a perfect fighting game spinoff now.

USA! USA! USA! (inwardly i'm chanting, Boobies! Boobies! Boobies!)

Spoiler

I knew it would be a matter of time before we got a surge of Giant Girls. I mean if they appeared in China, then obv the world has them, and it would be absurd for it to be one at a time only. Given the battles and the increasing number of giants (two in China), it means the whole thing is becoming more and more unstable so the exploding number makes a lot of sense.

PS: Am I the only one who finds it nonsensical yet is not surprised that the US has the seemingly strongest/largest pool of giants out of all the world?

no closure on tiger girls?

i think it might be addressed in the next ch. since its been shown that the last few survived.

Giantess fetish is something that's best left in niche anthologies stumbled upon by the rare few hypermasochists who appreciate it. Once they break past Diane threshold, they aren't girls anymore, man.

What's a Diane threshold?

no closure on tiger girls?

Well, that's a giant downer. ( ; _ ; )

try to read "Super-Dreadnought Girl 4946" ...

.... never heard of it but I'm curious now. thanks, i'll read it.

Yeah, I think she'll end up developing some weird super idol messiah complex and for whatever reason (ex. sees takezou with the osaka girl or something and gets jealous) becomes corrupt.

Also, (boobs aside) is it just me or is she starting to resemble Medaka.latest?cb=20130811031017

The more I read this, the more I get convinced that the girl is going to end up being the final boss. Unlike the other girls, her words lack conviction, yet everyone falls for her as if it were some kind of creepy brainwashing. Sad thing is she doesn't even realize it yet. She's going to get crushed by her savior persona.

This is honestly getting really fu**ing creepy.  It's been said before in comments by astute readers, but the whole 'aspect magnification' thing that happens to each giant really makes this ... uncomfortable.  As in how the Osaka 'comedian' was subsumed by her desire for laughter, and took it way too far, or the Chinese girls with their respective tenets, etc.

But yeah, I get the Japanese have this long running joke/meme/belief of 'cuteness equals justice', but the main girl is seriously creeping me out.  Honestly, I'd WAY rather prefer the standard shounen speech about justice and integrity... but then every time she just says something like 'because I'm cute'.  It's even noticed in the recent chapter by the random plebeians running around.  I'm not sure if the author is trying to be creepy and making it a future plot point about her impending corruption, or if it's the author trying to make the girl into a faux-idol.

Despite being only 21 chapters out (translated?), I miss it when this series was starting - it was fun, and yet still had enough thought put into it that it could qualify as seinen.  As I said... now i'm just creeped out and reading it because i started a while back.  It's obviously just my opinion, but I feel it's trying too hard to be edgy.  Less fun for me :/

pretty much what happen around the world ...

radical will be hated by anyone around them ...

Tiger's proportions got fucked up

>girls gets power from her heart beating for the one she loves

>decides to leave said guy in a different country, separating herself both mentally and phisically

How does this make any sense?

This is the part you're questioning here?

>girls gets power from her heart beating for the one she loves

>decides to leave said guy in a different country, separating herself both mentally and phisically

How does this make any sense?

Yeah, because they're trying and kind of succeed at starting riots. Everything was calm until they arrived.

My theory is that just as the "comedian" could make people smile and Kiryuin can make people's hearts throb, the twins make people angry and rebellious.

The revolution was inevitable, comrade. The twins were merely a vanguard.

Given whats been shown thus far, here's my theories on onideka. First off, Kosmos, I believe that it's under going a similar situation to parasyte the maxim. The reasons for why I say this is because despite being called an irregular by a black kosmos and wanting to save the world, it displays the same abilities as the other kosmoses like making it's host become a giant and giving the host some kind of affectious ability based on the individual's desire. This affectious ability is then used on the surrounding people which causes them to (unwillingly) exhibit the same desire of the host, which is then somehow converted into fuel, by the kosmos, which makes the host bigger, as well as, to become black like the other kosmoses.

If this is really the case, then I suspect the reason why is due to the unorthodox event where takezou gets killed and kosmos goes inside of him first. Finally, the other theory that I have is that kosmos didn't end up like the others due to kiryuuin not having an initial desire when coming into contact with kosmos like the others, but instead, ended up with a fuel source based on her looks. (Although, she's begun to develop a hero complex which could later devolve into some kind of weird desire which couuld lead to kosmos becoming corrupted.)
