I have a black cat. She has a very dainty, ladylike mew, not much different from when she was a kitten. One day when my wife and I were out walking, we met a black cat that looked just like her. So then it meows and it's this deep, hoarse, pack-a-day-washed-down-with-tequila sound, it's like one of Marge Simpson's sisters got turned into a cat. It was weirdly shocking.
That ending of the second chapter, "Don't give up, because good things will happen." along with that last frame was great.
...something like this takes a slightly bittersweet tone for me, as it hasn't been that long since my own cat passed on. Still, seeing Kuroi-san do the whole bite and rabbit-kick routine brings back some fond memories.
the cat is not an asshole. i already approve of this manga
This is great. Looking forward to more. Thanks @ LoreScans
cats are the best wingman, afrocat was one good example
Is this another beginning of Diabetes Roada mmm...~?
!! So cute!
Really, Human is hopeless without a cat.
very good story, thank you for the translations.
I have a black cat named Peepers. She is kind enough to allow me to share my, er... I mean, HER BED with me!
Although she does insist on curling up in the crook of my arm and going to sleep as she drools on my elbow. And cat drool REALLY STINKS as it dries! She believes that this is the best way to make sure I take a shower every morning before I appear in public.
She also expresses her deep concern for my safety by insisting on taste-testing my milk at breakfast to make sure that it is not spoiled or otherwise contaminated.
So yes, Ms. Baker, cats do make the best wingmen!
Cat best wingman
