so in other words, you're using the fact that no one else knows japanese to troll us all, then claim that you're right in doing so because scanlators scanlate for free. big leap in logic there.
not saying that the people complaining about your translations are justified in doing so, but we're still here to read serious, readable english (modern english, mind you) translations, the kind of stuff the vast majority of scanlators do. there are conventions to be followed, unfortunately, and taking "interpretations" (pft) to extremes isn't part of that. take your dadaism or whatever art form you're espousing elsewhere - there aren't any policies for such things, but nevertheless, no one here is tolerant of your shit. obvious trolls are obvious - too bad for you. no one will exactly be crying when you leave, either.
Brothers! Our time together is too short for fighting! The Bible says we should not fight, but are to love one another passionately. We are all the sons of Adam, united in naked brotherhood through the passionate embrace of Jesus Christ. Try to be happy!
That scanlation group is a troll group. They upload chapters that look normal until the text is replaced with braille, fake chapters, rewritten chapters, what have you. Not sure if they just do that when annoyed at someone / something, when they find a magna others like but they hate, or what, but it's not the first time I've seen them upload something like that. Hell, I don't even think it's the first time they've trolled this particular manga before (chapter 9000, 10000, for example).
If there's a story here, it's impossible to follow it.
i hate you guys.
That has to do with the contract artists/authors sign with their publishers, not because the U.S. market is not very profitable. Musicians are the same thing. You wanna why Miley Cyrus, Beyonce or U2 aren't using their Twitter feeds to tell people not to pirate music? Its cause they don't give a shit; they make PENNIES for every CD/iTunes track/music license usage cause thats how their contracts are set up.
What's with the annoying frames?
I really wish someone uploaded this properly. Though this chapter didn't bothered me that much since it was kind of nice to see the pages framed and shit, and since I know Spanish I can understand some Italian without problem.
Huh, the background kinda ruined the mood but it was still so sad T.T
For anyone who's still wondering :
c11a, p23
As the scope of the accident grew, soon mesengers [sic] were sent all over
I was alone but
it wasn't easy to find a victim
along the way
I came accross [sic] a boy
c11a, p24
That boy was born under a special star
and so dogs were naturally drawn to him
Damn, I wasn't ready for the return of the braille, I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything.
Laughs of the week:DD I'm so glad I'm still following this:P
On another note food keeps you alive happiness alone doesn't...
I agree. The Japanese in general seem very wary about protecting intellectual property. Probably why you see very little innovation in their distribution across the board. I know that with visual novels successful companies like Key have no interest in official localization because the lower sale numbers in the west would be seen as a blow to their reputation. This was touched on in a panel by Manga Gamer on why Key are impossible to work with.
But I haven't read to see why this topic is even going on in the comments right now. There's a girlfriend with ears--we need to focus on the moe
Of course they want these things. And if they make a living out of it, they then want to be paid for it, and they deserve to be so. Wanting to get paid for your work does not translate to "wanting money above all."
OhGodWhy is of course correct that untranslated manga authors don't have much of a market among those of us who don't read Japanese, which is why I frequent Batoto in the first place: there's no way other than fan scanlations for me to read what I read here. Manga that I can legitimately buy, I buy, and I am happy to do so. What gets me angry are the self-serving arguments that manga artists are glad to have their work given away for free.
Adding to atgc's point, most people that read scanlations doesn't know japanese, so there isn't much of a market for the author to gain from to begin with. That is, unless he can get his manga licensed for an english translation - which only happens if the manga is massively popular in the west, which can be gauged from the popularity of said scanlations.
On another note, these troll scanlations - eventually - gets removed anyway, so no need to be too mad over it.
By which I can deduce you never actually produced something, amirite?
Authors want their books to be read. Game developers want their games to be played. Cooks want their food to be eaten.
Anyone who wants money above all out of a creative activity has lost his way, and forgotten his father's face.
On another note, those that do care about the money are the managers and editors.
By which I can deduce you are not a professional game designer. When your games, your food, your manga are what pays your rent and buys your own food, you care very much whether it sells or not.
i don't know about this manga author, but i am game creator and if my game got translate and get published with free, i will glad if my creation got anybody enjoy it
for me, when making something is not about got sell or not, but about get enjoy or not
for other example: chef will happy if people enjoyed his food not how much it sold
WAS THE BRAILLE INTENDED?
Now, how much rage will this new chapter cause, I wonder
I wonder if you guys are arguing the same thing at all.
1) Should the authors be thankful for the publicity? Did they ask it for the first place?
2) This argument was from Horn's comment on "shitting on original work". The point is if author does not want scanlation, it does not matter if it was troll-scanlated or not.
3) I don't know where the harmful argument came from. But to answer your earlier (3), couldn't you also say the same for scanlation? i.e. it too gets old (at least, for authors who don't like scanlations).
I read the first chapter translated off of mangafox or mangahere whichever one of those sites, but if someone can point me to the raws I can translate them myself. BTW most of the translated shit that sensualaoi did was just f'n horrible... I thought i saw google translator on crack when I read the first chapter on here. Just make sure it has a downloadable file so I can poorly edit using manga studio 4.0. sadly I can only understand romaji but I got a nice lil jap translator for it.
Could anyone ban these idiots already...?
The longest manga ever.....
100000 chapter, i wonder how many generation it has been passed by.
Two months for the next release? Oh well, I'll wait then. I hope you reach the latest chapter (2130098) soon!
