Wow, there's something really depressing about a fluffy shojo manga where the main character is constantly being sexually assaulted, forcibly confined and coerced by the supposed hero, and all the romance amounts to is a case of Stockholm syndrome covered in glitter. The fact that it's all supposed to be cute and sexy fun really makes it so much worse, too.

Haha, looks like that one served as a concept of Rosario to vampire^^

Just look at this:

Love Monster: Started 2002 and was completed in 2006

Rosario to vampire (first season): Started August 2004 and got completed in October 2007

For Heaven's sake Harbinger, do you think that manga began in the 00's? Both Rosario to Vampire and Love Monster used a concept that is almost half a century old. The concept of a monster school was made popular by GeGeGe no Kitaro, first published in 1959. If something, Rosario to Vampire and Love Monster should be credited to returning a genre to its roots since in the early 00's, it was more common to see the concept in a more adult situation, like a human going into a monster inn like in Magetsukan Kitan, since those stories were made to appeal to adults who grew up with stories about monster schools.

Rosario to vampire season II started one month after the completion of the first season and is currently at chapter 61, RAWs for 62 should come out next week

The INITAL concept of Rosario + Vampire (a recently released "prototype chapter")

Here we have nothing about a monster academy and whatsoever, just a normal school and one vampire with seperate personalities (for deatails, read seasons 1 and 2, preferably buy them to support the awesome author)

Then, in the ACTUAL first chapter of Rosario + Vampire we have the full setting of a Monster academy with the male MC (Tsukune Aono) being the only human there and over time he has to deal with all that (and the harem he unintentionally built)

So it wouldn't surprise me if Ikeda Akihisa (the author of Rosario + Vampire) read the first few volumes of THIS manga (it wasn't completed yet when he started with Rosario to vampire), really liked the concept and decided to discard his ORIGINAL setting and incorporate the setting of "human in monster school" into his story. It was a good decision though, Rosario + Vampire wouldn't be even half as good if it weren't for that setting ;)

And don't come whining about "cheap copying", authors are free to take IDEAS from other works and incorporate it into their own story (just look at the star wars movies- A LOT of stories are based on that)

Odd.
Batoto gave me a Root Kit, while Mangareader never gave me anythign bad.

And I still view the Scanlation teams that complain as saying this:

"Hey! We stole that manga fair and square! You can't steal it again!"
@Secundum, yeah there are lots of readers out there. Waaaay back then I read on Mangavolume. Then on OneManga. Then on Mangareader. And now here. What I like about Batoto is that the community is great, and the site doesn't give my computer viruses, like Mangareader did...
Also, the whole thing about "limiting where manga goes" is actually just respecting the wishes of the scanlation teams. They don't appreciate when they work really hard to put out chapters for people, and then sites like Mangareader take them without permission and slap their own logos on them.
Well...this is certainly smuttier than I remembered. Of course, it's been something like four years since I last read that, so I caught some things that went totally over my head before. ಠ_ಠ
Batoto isn't the only reader.
It's good at forums, but Mangareader gives you email updates.
Batotos days of trying to force draconian measures to limit where manga goes failed dismally.
@ Res

Dude...don't put a link of mangareader...NOEZ
The Manga is already completed and you can read it here http://www.mangareader.net/246/love-monster.html
