I think that everybody here has missed something.  Why has no one considered the possibility that Meguru actually lost because he went insane from the total sensory deprivation and that his images of winning were actually a hallucination and that HE was the one who became the fifth death, thus ending the story line.  He was shown fighting to keep his sanity during the last two chapters where he had been deprived of ALL of his senses.  His images of winning could very well have been his last dying thoughts since he had expressed his desire to die several times.

Just a possibility to consider, my friends.

Just finished reading this and came here to find this sort of comments :)

Hey they ended up together in the end, imhappy and it seems like so are they :) I do feel it could have gone on longer though. They could have had Meguru get spirit instead of hearing and then the games continue.

Ah yes, just the dosage of EDGE the comments needed.

I actually like slipknot :D

me encanto como venia el manga pero..... bueno al final fue feliz...

>duwang tier translations

oh well

Translation is awful, man. If you cannot translate something, do not touch that series. I cannot understand what they mean properly,so my joy for manga decrease. Anyways, series has a good end so I satisfied. However I said it before please don't ruin my pleasure with your awful translation.

Hmm, that was genuinely interesting for once. Enough to keep it followed, even. Though I would have wished for a slightly longer epilogue.

Spoiler

I actually considered that as well, but... I don't think it'd fit the authors writing style. Didn't seem to be one for double twists.

I liked the ending, it was bitter sweet, both character came out feeling lousy, but both of them also came out as stronger people. Yes they both killed someone, but in their situation, not doing anything would have let two killers walk free, a true injustice. As for the happy ending, I like it, it wraps everything up, and feels like a real ending.

damn, this game is a win-win solution for that hobo anyways.
the ending was...meh.but good thing it's a happy ending.must be really hard to translate something like this, shedge-san. thanks for the effort!XD
That ultimate happy ending. Not like any other ending was expected anyways.
Very nice end for what he went through.

Wow, must be awful. I once had my nose blocked 2 days after an operation, that was enough torture for me. No sleep, constantly dry mouth, had to drink a shitload of water...^^
Im just glad it was a happy ending I was sure for a minute there something awful was gonna happen.
I get why people say it was anticlimatic, but i still thought it was an interesting way to end it, i mean ... the whole story was made from the MC's POV and the author stood with that till the end so that s why we didn't get to see the final round, at the very least i enjoyed it.
Although I thought it was a little anticlimatic, I was okay with how it ended. It wasn't too bad or too good. Interesting to say the least.

There's not much to do with people talking eachother to death anyway so it was good for what it was.
Am I the only one who enjoyed the whole thing?
i really liked it!! it´s a shame that it ended so quickly but still in my book a 7/10
This manga sucks big time. The psychology logic and explanation is wrong in so many places, is almost like the author just skimmed a psychology-for-dummies book. And I do not understand why the little numbwit that killed the trap survived. But why should the MC care right? Happy ending, revenge doesn´t matter anymore..................bad...just bad.

Still, grateful for the translation and scans ShedgeScans.
it was a good read, but too fast, but it was fine as it was
Yay happy ending ! and the feeling it gave me was the same... not awesome not bad nor sad Just HAPPY
